You need an international driving license if you don’t want trouble in case police stops you. We do carry ours with us.

You are definitely right, Ninh Binh is often skip or not visited enough compare to other places in VN. We are so happy Jade miss calculate the date and we end up spending an extra 24h in the city. Don't miss the boat ride when you come here!
