Thanks for the videos. Can you mill these single unit screw retained crown over ti bases out of a lithium disilicate ingot?
@adamrutherford71694 жыл бұрын
You would have to get a block with a pre milled hole through it. I dont know if they make them. Maybe someone does for the cerec machine

I designed 2 crowns like this, Inno ti base. On the model they are rotated, no position is correct. Why?

make sure your scan body was seated on the analog properly when scanning

Can you show us how you design a cemented crown implant restoration? Also, you mention about creating a video using an intraoral scanner. Any plans on recording that anytime soon?

Sure! I'll see if I can get that up in a day or two

Cool tutorial for us newbies. I just made a crown to sit on straumann veriobase , which is their ti base option. I milled it in pmma and when I go to fit it, it's quite tight. The cement gap in the exocad order form is set to 0.1 should I increase that since I can see there may be an issue if the crown was milled out of zirc. Apropos zirc crown over ti base, if there at fitting issues what is the best way to go about fitting a tight zirc over ti base. Thanks in advance.

Ti base fit are dependant on the implant library, however, I believe with the newest addition of Exocad you may be able to change it in the design phase. 0.1 is pretty tight. Are you scanning the ti base or using the library? How many hours are on your burs in the mill?
@rodneyamsha93124 жыл бұрын
@@adamrutherford7169 I used the straumann scan body and their official library. The burs are pretty fresh.

I noticed on your video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aX3Enn-bbrWMp6M the Gap with of cement is set to 0.02 which is even tighter?

Adam, thank you for the info. I am new to use dental scanner. Could you tell me which brand of scan body do you use?
@adamrutherford71694 жыл бұрын
I use a variety of scan bodies. I have scan bodies from each implant company for OEM parts and I use 3rd party TruAbutment when requested

the abutment and the crown are milled into one piece?
@adamrutherford71694 жыл бұрын
The emergence profile and the crown are one piece. The abutment is a ti base that gets cemented to the crown

Adam, thanks for the video. I am new to designing and milling my own custom abutments. I had a question about scan bodies and libraries for exocad. My tech support wants to sell me n-t abutments, but they don't sell ti-base, only titanium abutments. Do you know of another brand that works with Astra EV that has a library for Exocad. The Astra EV scan bodies don't work with Exocad, they won't let you design them, they want you to send it to Atlantis.

Great video. Thank you. I find that the default screw channel is too narrow. When I make it wider in the wizard (from standard .2 to .4) it only makes the outline bigger, but not the actual hole. Is there a way to make the actual hole bigger?
@adamrutherford71694 жыл бұрын
I think that might have to do with the implant library. It is supposed to be a perfect fit every time. Otherwise the only way to make the hole bigger is to use the attachment feature and cut the hole bigger
