I was in St. Patricks in about 1989 when gay ACT UP protesters stormed into the mass and disrupted it. They began shouting and chaining themselves to pews. Cardinal O Connor was ready for them. He strode to the front of the altar, then raised his arms and began loudly saying the Our Father. The entire Cathedral followed him, drowning out the protesters. The police were there, they quickly removed the protesters. The demonic screams of the protesters were drowned out by the whole cathedral saying the Our Father. O Connor knew how to handle protesters, so why is Dolan such an enormous coward with a massive desire to GIVE IN TO THEM?

Fr. Doughtery didnt make the decision to change from a mass to a funeral service he was just following "orders". My opinion Fr. Doughtery behaved disgracefully.

I'm sorry, but I feel this sacrilege in St. Patrick as a celebration of Sodom an Gomorrah inside our Holy Church. And how can the Priest say that they weren't aware of what was their agenda if the Priest had a "Homily " from a woman Pastor from another denomination, very appropriate por what this "audience " was expecting?
