I saw a video of Fr. Amorth preforming an exorcism. He started out by thumbing his nose at the Devil to show that he wasn't scared and went through the ceremony. The affected woman was surrounded by her family and her boyfriend. The presence of her boyfriend made me wonder of she was living in a state of grace. The next day, the woman, the boyfriend and the demon attacked the film crew in an ice-cold church. I do think Fr Chad is a better exorcist. He only performs exorcisms in church, does not allow film crews, and first examines the lifestyle and state of grace of the recipient.

Fr. Chad Ripperger is a true doctor of the soul. Imo he is a "St. Thomas Aquinas" for our times. Until this man did the actual work, there was not any exorcist training or manuals for poor priests who would be assigned faculties by their bishop, but no training. Could the rector please explain why Cecelia Gentili's funeral was permitted to be held in the Cathedral with a Catholic priest presiding over the service? I watched part of the "event" & was scandalized, as are many faithful Catholics who have learned of this, by the disrespect shown by the attendees in their dress and in their actions. What I found interesting is when Father mentioned. Having trials or obstacles to overcome is a means to attain holiness. One could say having, Scrupulosity/OCD is a blessing given by God for the purpose to attain holiness, and heaven. As God gives the Stigmata to certain Saints, to show holiness.

If we live our lives the Catholic way ,, the evil will be very afraid of us . Like back in the day . Growing up , we lived Catholic lives . There was no evil around us . Our parents , our priests, our nuns ,, our teachers made out a huge part if not all of our lives ....what an observation.

My question is for Fr. Chad…I heard you say that sometimes you encounter the same Demon from patient to patient. How do you know it is the same Demon? How does he identify himself? I had a time in my 30s that I felt like I was processed. I felt helpless to fix my temptations. One day I fell to my knees and ask God to help me. To take this temptation away from me. I said a rosary and ask the Blessed Mother to help me too. It was amazing because He answered my prayers and gave me the strength and tools to fight it. I am old now but I have a stronger prayer life than I ever did. Thank you Jesus for being my healer.

Where do you start when there may be sins going back 20, 30, 50 years that have been either forgotten or one can’t remember if they’ve previously confessed them? How do we get a new clean slate especially these days when Confession can only be heard for a half hour/week since we don’t have enough priests? Thank you

I agree on the need for Father Ripperger to go back to St Patrick's Cathedral for an exorcism of this Church due to the abhorrent disrespect of our Lord and the Catholic Teachings.
