@@elinonbjartalid807 in a poker table it’s your job to make assumptions about people’s inner thinking process and logic behind their actions. Understanding why people are doing what they are doing is what poker is about. Cheating suspicions were public information at that point, players were clearly acting on that info (by protecting their cards) and management too (by creating specific ruling). It is very unlikely that Martin himself is unaware of what’s going on, and especially that he wouldn’t take any advantage of it, considering his nature.

PokerGo "chose" to show Kabhrel so much because that's what they felt the viewers wanted to see. It's the same reason you have him in the title of your vlog and why you spent 95% of your podcast talking about him. You both, as producers, "chose" to feature him. If you don't want to reward the behavior don't talk about him or feature him any more than possible. I'm not saying it's right or wrong but you are wondering why they chose to do that and it's for the same reason you chose to feature him today.

I was thinking the same thing, but one of the issues was the fact that he wasn’t scanning his hand a lot of the time. That could make the process a little more time-consuming and a little less “reliable.” Hopefully they’ll go this route anyway and be able to confirm which cards were marked and if/when he had them.

Like him or hate him. If he pays 250k and is following the rules you shouldn't do any preferential treatment. Making a rule for a belief of one person seems unfair if you don't have evidence. What he is doing is Angle Cheating giving an open impression of cheating to make people think there is a chance he knows one or both of there cards. Therefore making them less likely to call or play back . Not technically cheating but giving the impression he is.

Martin clearly has a persona on the table. Is that something you might lean into if you've been playing that role for years? As one of the top annoying players of the century combined with having a business to promote. The problem with Martin is really a problem with policing poker. No one has the answers. You can spot the flaws. But you can't even make the guy cut his nails, even when he's been accused. That's a problem with rules, procedures, and enforcing them. Most of those pros wouldn't even shake his hand at the end. Aside from Brewer and Martirosyan the rest were all a little needy.

If he was marking cards, I think this would have come out a long time ago. You look at videos with Kabrhel from years and years ago, he has been acting the same way the entire time. In all this time, no one was able to catch this? If he was actually marking cards, just cover your hole cards with your hands and he'd never be able to see any potential markings. Production companies, like PokerGo, are trying to make poker a "spectator sport," for lack of a better term. No one is going to be interested in watching if the entire show focuses solely on the nerdy aspects of the game, the math, the strategy, etc etc. Your average viewer will watch for people that cause drama, like Kabrhel. This is why they kept talking about his antics, but not in a negative way, and why they wouldn't bring up the cheating allegations. Their job is to get people to watch, period.

Not trying to give people ideas but there are half a dozen better ways to mark a deck just off the top of my head and he's playing a $250K lol. Such a wild conination of shamelessbess but also complete lack of creativity.

If you mark 7 or 8 cards in a deck of 52, don't make you know everyone cards. It does give him information occasionally. When everything lines up he can have a huge advantage.
