Back in the '80s, we had an Old Country Buffet nearby that, at least once a month, had reports of someone getting food poisoning. I had a couple of friends who got it there. The problem there was twofold; first, they didn't keep the steam table hot enough because at 165°, the food dried out too quickly. Second, when bringing food from the kitchen, they would dump it into the existing steam pan on top of the old food. It was very likely that some of the food in a given pan was there from when the restaurant opened for lunch.

I too call BS to the Hoss's waitresses...no restaurant would willingly send undercooked or bug-infested food to customers just to harrass the waitresses....

Didn’t know Chi chi’s had a buffet. I just knew of their sit down restaurants.

The buffet line was setup at their sit down restaurants. They just cleared out an area in the dining room and pushed some tables together in a line to create a buffet line. I usually got the buffet because the food was good and had a decent variety of things to choose from.

That's probably a good thing. Every buffet I've been to in the past 10 years was just terrible in every way possible. Every surface was dirty and sticky, always overcrowded with the trashiest of trashy people letting their screaming misbehaved kids run amok, rude ghetto staff who doesn't give a crap about anything including personal hygiene, morbidly obese couples taking the all-you-can-eat policy as a challenge, filthy disgusting restrooms (which almost always indicates filthy disgusting kitchen), low quality food that sat out for way too long and got old, dining area smelled like sunbaked wet garbage, overpriced, and the list goes on and on. Last time I went to old country buffet cost me well over $70 (pre Biden) for 3 adults not including drinks, same exact conditions as above, and we all ended up getting sick with food poisoning later. We probably could've gone to a four star restaurant for that price.

It's disgusting how many of the discrimination complaints got dismissed and how many criminal actions were vacated. It's at the point where you need to have a recording of a manager admitting to doing it to get any traction, even then the court may ignore the evidence.

In many cases, there is no evidence to even suggest it happened. People have filed fake complaints to get money or to get even.

Even if the restaurant follows the rules, leaving food out for patrons to serve themselves has its risks. I avoid buffets.

@@lastotallyawesomebleach204 yeah we went to Golden corral a couple of months ago after being out of the buffet scene for a really long time and it was freaking god-awful. Struggle to find anything I even wanted to try and eat, And then the things I did end up with were pretty bad.

Personally i think it should be mandatory for all major stores like Walmart etc to install invest and maintain wireless payments whether they want to or not, i know that if i were to use my card and got skimmed and the retailer didn't want to use it from it eating into profits or conflicted with there internal setup (im looking at u Walmart) I'd blow a gasket

9:22 someone needs to explain how a person gets out of prison early for good behavior…..so You’re horrible outside of prison, committing crimes against children but then when you’re inside, you’re a good person? Yeah - cause you can’t commit those crimes in prison. Serve the sentence!!!
