Apart from spritual, enlightenment, intellectual channels, dont usually subscribe much but you sir have definitely earned that. Thanks for inviting everyone along the ride to many of these adventures. Love the peaceful atmosphere while educating. Not much said but so much to learn. Also love how you keep things clean, no crazy music/ unecessary noise. Keep filming and teaching im sure many are learning. Keep up the good work! Thank you for sharing! Peace and Love brother Marv

Really found your videos super helpful. Keep them coming. Like others have said you make it look so easy. If ever you feel the need anything so so how to avoid tailing loops would be appreciated.

Another great one! It amazes me how little effort you put in the cast I'm getting there but still only cast out about 15-20 ft. of running line

Although I primarily live in a Skagit world, I have always favored Scandinavian style spey casting. I love the aerial displays especially. The closest I came to Scandinavian spey casting would have been the first production run of Scientific Angler's XLT line. Loved it and shunned the WindCutter. I believe I noticed you having a Scandinavian influence in some of your casts, slightly deviating from strict Skagit doctrine. Peace.

Sorry Tim but I misspoke here...I actually favored Traditional spey casting and know very little about Scandinavian style casting except the emphasis on the bottom hand - the two have often confused me. The aerial displays I spoke of were the part of the "touch and go" sweeps of the earlier style. Quite a few years have past since I put away my spey gear and like I said in an earlier comment, I have forgotten so much.

This is really solid casting Tim :) Next level = true Scandi head like Salmologic Logic Head or Scientific Anglers UST ;) RIO Scandi is too easy to cast with being more a light Skagit than Scandi.
@davidafo29836 жыл бұрын
Are the differences between Scandi and Skagit narrowing with the best combi being somewhere like a hybrid line, that allows airborne AND waterborne anchors, sink tips and heavy streamer flies, as well as just Scandi type "long leader" for more delicate presentations and dry flies? I think it is...and it is a good thing.

Very nice cast only that the Scandinavian style is characterized by the fact that the whole body works and the elbows are close to the body.

Love the casting vids ! You are my online mentor. Can you do a vid where you cast and hook into a fish 🍻

Thank you Robert, I am honored to be your Casting mentor! That is my goal. To film a beautiful cast, stick a Steelhead and bring it to hand without any editing! It may take a while but I'm hoping it happens this year!!! Thanks buddy.
