Great reporting. I see both sides. I'm low-income in a low-income neighbourhood, & dealers make my neighbourhood more dangerous, toxic & unlivable. Cops seized almost half a million dollars IN CASH in this case. The charges indicate this couple were dealing coke & meth, moneylaundering, 'committed numerous firearms offenses' & had at least one weapon with a prohibited high capacity magazine at the residence. A residence where 8 children lived. Wright portrays herself as a victim--no doubt SCAN can be used to target Indigenous, vulnerable & low-income people. But those are the same people Ms Wright & her partner targetted with their drug dealing!(allegedly). And Wright's neighbours, the ones who complained, were also targetted by her because of the increased danger & illegal activity she brought into the community.

3:40 "She was raided by the RCMP and still faces charges related to a COCAINE trafficking, numerous firearms offenses, possession of property obtained by crime" Intergenerational stupidity under one roof, plain, and simple. I've witnessed this firsthand in my community.

A person who has not been convicted of ANYTHING should NEVER be evicted by a single complaint or rumour!! If an individual needs to be arrested, so be it. The whole family should be innocent until / unless proven guilty, just as much as should the individual. This is gentrification, intimidation, discrimination, abuse of power, and a violation of Constitutional rights. Agents of any Government operation should have uniforms, badges, and be prepared to give their names & I.D. info before serving these eviction notices. I hope she sues the Government.

She did. SHE WON.

@@reviewer6471 Well, she 'won' in an extremely limited way. SCAN still exists, & will continue exactly the same. She only got the 5 day eviction struck down & changed to 14 days instead.
