Hey Roben.. thank you SO much for sharing this process step by step!! I just wanted to comment/suggest something for you about file type. Jpg is a lossy type file, if you’ll be using these ( opening & closing) a lot, can I suggest using tiff as your file extension. This way no loss of pixels in the future.🙂

My pleasure! Thanks so much for that reminder. I forget this and I know it's because the Tiff files are so big. I do upload all my scans right into Canva so I assume that means they are not getting "opened" each time I use them in a design. Again, thanks!! 👍🏻

Thank you so much for this video! I bought the V600 scanner seceral months ago but havent been brave enough to open it. Can you believe it?But i feel like now i can open it! I bought it for the sole purpose of scanning vintage/antique ephemera to use for junk journaling. Postcards, bookpages, wallpaper...lots of stuff! Personal use, of course, because i dont want to use the originals. Also, to share with my friends. External hard-drive is perfect too because i have so much stuff i want to scan. 😉 Any hints for scanning ephemera? 😁

Yes, open it up and take it for a ride. I have scanned old letters and other vintage items in the past. You can tweak those adjustments in your scanning software if the images are too yellow/orange, which tends to happen.

Great clear video, thank you! I also bought a v600 scanner recently. I wonder if I scan an A6 artwork in 1200 dpi, how big can I print this? That it still looks great? I would love to print really big art prints. And I don't know how much dpi I need to scan it in.

Glad you found it helpful. I know enough to print my own things, but my guess would be that for every 300dip, you can double the size.

I normally use jpg, but if I plan to do much editing on them I use TIF.

What type of computer do you use? I have been trying to figure out how to scan art work. I find it very challenging. I am not a tech person. I only have a lenovo Think Pad. I 'm wondering if I need a different computer.

It is clear so try refreshing your browser. It did that to me as well and refreshing fixed it.
