On the wheelchairs in busy spaces topic. I don't stop, if they're going to pretend I'm not there I wont see them either, MANY people have tripped over me. Also, have you ever had someone just grab and move you out of the way like you're furniture? I've literally had someone move me away from a shelf in a shop while I was getting things.

Okay so I know this is not in any way comparable to your real lived experiences, but that same thing happens in Stardew Valley and it's incredibly frustrating to not be able to tell off the person who did it so that she actually listens when George says not to push him around without permission.

Just wanted to say that I appreciate you guys. Love that the hermits are becoming more "human" lately, just having fun together and less scripted content and megabuilds. You are all cool guys and gals, and as a fellow over thirty, I find the hidden adult humor amusing, can only imagine the struggle trying to stay pg13 all the time. Your vod and other hermits vods are a nice podcast like content to keep us company.

Fun fact: In one-on-one duels the high ground is actually the worse position to be in, since the lower half of your body is exposed and it's harder for you to hit your opponent, and easier for them to deflect.

Scar, Daylight savings time was promoted as being intended to help the farmers, but the lobiest pushing it where industrialists. at that point in time vactories did not typically make much use of electric lighting, and in order to save money they used sky lights, but since there is a cycle of longer and shorter days, the industrialists needed to come up with something different. afterall the workers would revolt if you made them come in earlier or stay later, but if they where coming and leaving "at the same time" it is not the factory owners doing. Afterall factory workers were commonly paid by the day or week, not by the hour, so the more hours the factory owners could make them work the better for profits. So it got promoted as being to help the farmers, but the farmers saw through it and protested against the time changes. Politicians listen to rich industrialists far more readily than they do a bunch of farmers, so you know what happened next. This was back in 1915-1918, not in the 40s. It was later further codified in 1966 to make it more uniform nationally. Prior to that it was regionally enacted, so you might bounce in and out of DST 3 times as you travel from town to town. And yes... There is actually documentation out there that supports this.
@cairoraiser93386 ай бұрын
There was actually a time period where Daylight Savings was stopped, and it did SERIOUSLY affect farming too. The crop yield that year was MASSIVELY decreased and it caused a large dip in the economy that lasted a WHILE.

The reason I heard for doing it was that it was believed that if offices started earlier it would reduce costs. Nowadays however that's negligible.
