Im a 36 year old man , but is why i love hermitcraft so much because it is just such a great escape from the constant negativity forced in our direction everyday ( especially during the election cycle ) i find myself often getting soo mad reading and watching certain posts , so ill just stop and watch hermitcraft and just forget about it all. I can just put on a scar vod and build in my world and all the bad just slips away and i smile and laugh and think , i appreciate everything you all do !!

Damn, didn't expect to cry on a Scar Vod. The unintentioned Scar rant really hit a nerve for me, since the constant negativity of the news cycle played a big part in my fall into depression. I'm glad that people are waking up to the effects of consuming a constant stream of bad news. I cannot stress enough how much watching political satire with my parents and doomscrolling on reddit messed little me up. Thank you so much for addressing this, and for generally being a positive influence in so many people's lives. (Idk if Scar even reads comments on Vods, but whatever. You spoke about the different kinds of artwork in animated films! Have you ever seen Over The Garden Wall? It isnt Disney, but Cartoon Network. They used modern processes animating combined with old styles, such as still hand painted backrounds and the color and tone etc. Its a great Halloween/fall animation to watch and it isnt actually scary. Just has a really awesome vibe. Each episode is really short, and near the end there is a episode that is a big throw back to OLD animation. Before Disney animation. Bendy and the Ink Machine type animation feels, but again. Not scary.

1:49:00 I was going through a period of serious depression after going too far down the rabbit hole of political social media, articles, and videos and that's when I discovered hermitcraft. It took me a little while to realize I was so much happier mentally watching hermitcraft than all the ranting and raving and sadness on the poltical sphere. I realized I can only affect the people around me and that's what I'll focus on. And in the meantime, I decided to feed my brain only the positive fun media if I am going to consume it at all. And thus, this account was born - "hermit collector". This is where I subscribe to all the hermits and watch everyone's videos. I watch nothing else on this account. And you guys all together put out enough content to keep me entertained forever lol. All this to say you guys are a bright spot full of great role models and positivity in the world of horrible social media where the goal is to get you addicted and feed off your insecurities.
