Scarborough is a very popular holiday town in North Yorkshire, England. It's been a holiday destination for years and still has a very traditional feel to it.
In this video we take a walk starting at the foot of the hill of the castle where Luna Park has all the exciting rides. From Luna Park we walk on past Scarborough Harbour and the lighthouse where we can see the speedboat and pirate ship rides and the fishing boats that bring in the mornings catch.

Along Scarborough Seafront are the amusement arcades, fish and chip shops, cafe's and tea rooms and restaurants and pubs that are all worth a visit when you come for a day out or a holiday here.
Further along the seafront we arrive at Scarborough beach and wander down to the sea to take a look at the shore and the waves lapping up onto the sand!
Then it's a walk up to see the Big Wheel that stands on the site of the old Futurist Theatre where artists such as Ken Dodd and The Beatles once played. (Just two of the artists who have appeared in Scarborough UK)
Next up is the Victorian Tramway and Scarborough Grand Hotel with it's magnificent frontage standing out proudly over the seafront and skyline.
Then we walk down to The Spa Theatre Scarborough which is still open today with artists such as Jimmy Carr and Jason Manford are performing live.Scarborough Spa is a Grade II listed building in South Bay. It is a venue for conferences, exhibitions, entertainment, live music and events.
We end our tour of the Scarborough tourist attractions on the quiet beach just past the other cliff tram next to Scarborough Spa Theatre.

That was wonderful. My parents 1st took me to Scarborough when I was 6years old after seeing the North Bay Railway on rainbow and begging to go on it. I fell in love with Scarborough and must have been at least 35 times. I now try to have a 10 day holiday here every year. I usually stay at the Grand, I know it gets bad reviews but I feel safe there and have lots of memories of happy times with my Mum and Dad. I love going to Farrers bar at the spa for a fish finger sandwich, the clock cafe for scones and cream, winking willy for fish and chips and harbour bar for a lemon twist icecream. I believe the "little door " down near the spa is where the water was originally taken for it's health given properties but it is not healthy to drink nowadays. Thank you for doing this film I loved it. Can't wait to be in Scarborough later in the year to belatedly celebrate my big birthday.

Being a Yorkshireman, I have many memories of Scabby... as I called it. Last time I was there, just three or four years ago, it was sad and run down with many of the shops on Eastborough boarded up and the place had a dusty air of neglect. I must say, however, that your video shows the seafront in a good light with lots of visitors.It now looks clean and the vibrancy really comes through on the video. I hope Scabby comes back to life. Maybe I'll be able to visit again before my body finally says no, it's time to sit down and rest. I enjoyed your video and saw some new attractions, like the Ferris Wheel; it wasn't there last time I went. And I agree with 'Scorponox'... it is a good soundtrack.

We went to Scarbs about 15 years ago in December and all the touristy places were of course closed, but we found that Sea Life was open, so went and visited. What a lovely day we had. We met two otters, one was called "Cherry" and she had a brother. We were told they knew they were related to each other because they did not, well, date ^_^ Scarborough Castle was also open and we had a day up there, fascinating, took lots of photo's, brilliant experience. Fantastic holiday , thanks for this great walk down memory lane :)

We just came back after a week there on July 10th the two best fish and chips place are the Fry Pan The Golden Grid and the best ice cream is Flamingo Bay which does amazing ice cream and great sandwiches if your there you need to go there. We stayed at The Clifton Hotel on the North Bay. Which is a great hotel and totally Covid Safe plus it has private parking which is great as most of the parking places get taken quickly. The North Bay has a Cinema and we watched Black Widow while we where there. The North Riding Pub excellent on that side. Peasholm park on that side is brilliant t and you can hand feed the squirrels there and hire a pedal boat.

Me and the hubby were there in 2019 before covid.. Stayed at The Victoria Seaview Hotel on the North Bay... Had room with a fantastic Seaview, it was sunny and boiling hot(got sunburnt.. Had to get suncream!!), heard a concert from our room at the open concert area.. by the band "Years and Years" 😁 👍, went on a dragon boat at Peasholme Park and had an ice-cream sat in the harbour bar 🍨🌞, shame we had to go home when we did.. Cos Kylie Minogue was gonna be performing a week later ☹️, now that would have good to hear!!

The 'spa bridge' tramway has been closed a good few years (along with the North Bay) but, the last time we were there, it had been turned into a cafe. Love Scarborough, been going there for donkeys years!

Loved this, even though it was overcast, Scarborough still looks great. The sacrifice of your white trainers and back was much appreciated, you're a trooper. Lunar park is owned by the council but leased out to a fairground family, they got tenancy 2 years ago. It started off as a place where fishing lasses would prep fish and put them in barrels. Its been very busy down there if late

Been to Scarborough many times but only as a day tripper, always liked the town but usually ended up at the Peasholm Park end, the last time I visited was a few years ago when as English Heritage members we visited the castle. Didn’t the Pirate Ship used to be on the Mere? As a child I loved the miniature railway at the park and the naval battle was great fun, in my youth, late 1940’s, 1950's, it was a British v German event, the last time I saw it the combatants were left to your imagination. As a member of the Huddersfield Choral Society my wife actually sang on the stage of the then revamped outdoor theatre.

The door you saw at the Spa is not a doorway it’s an arch where the Spa Water comes out it is not safe to drink now though. This archway is why this area is called the Spa.

We made a trip to Scarborough every year. We took the train so a short walk through town to the tramway. First time riding I was a bit leery of its safety, lol The big wheel is new since I've been. I love riding the top of the upper deck buses to get me long distances! Messy hair, who cares! I believe I was only as the spas once? The open air concert theatre is lovely. Too bad I never had the pleasure to attend. The scenery around it is breath taking! Thanks again for a lovely walk! :)

I love Scarborough been there about 30 times stayed in different B & B's the best one Ive ever stayed in is the Lonsdale villa on west street reasonable prices aswell Put it this way I stopped in a family room at a South Shields B&B and it cost me twice as much as this and to me it was no better than the Lonsdale anyway It was ok don't get me wrong the only thing I can think of is Scarborough is more popular than South Shields so the prices are going to reflect that ?

Just curious but what equipment did you use to film this?? Was it on your phone with a handheld tripod or something??

I use all kinds of gear from phones to GoPro cameras to cinema cameras but basically use a gimbal with them all as it smooths everything out and stops my shaky hands and dodgy walking showing 🤣 Think this one was filmed on just my iPhone and a gimbal!

@@conaningram1030 I have the DJI Osmo Pocket 2 I think - it really is absolutely incredible! The microphones on it are amazing so long as you're not in strong wind It also has a built in gimbal that works a treat too - really amazing device!

What gets me is when people see somebody they know they will stand and talk to them there and then instead of move over to one side to let the pedestrians past they block the gang way I myself come across this all the time especially in town centres Some people out there are so inconsiderate of other people It's all just common sense to ' me But if you say anything you are in the wrong unless you look like a biker with tattoos and a skinhead But when you look like Charles Charles hawtrey ( Carry On films ) people don't take you seriously
