As a kid this sing along video was my everything EXCEPT FOR THIS PART! This segment was the second to last and I remember whenever I saw it start up I would leave the room, have one of my parents or cousins fast forward the tape, and then I would watch the last segment. It didn't help that I was already terrified of the actual ride and now it haunted me in sing along form. Ghost Donald is the best part of the whole thing though

I remember this but I SWEAR I saw a different version of this when I was a kid! It scared the shizzle out of me so it's still printed in my memory and I SWEAR I CAN STILL SEE A SKELETON DUDE BECKONING ME AND A CORPSE BRIDE!! Maybe they just used different recordings for it in Europe? Edit: yes, yes they did. In Europe they showed footage shot in Disneyland Paris. It indeed includes a skeleton dude and a corpse bride. Also, Jafar instead of captain Hook. And Donald scares all the creeps away at the end. That's the version I know and was scared by!

That video creeped me out as a kid. Mostly because at the time I never even saw the movies those villains were from. The combination of evil trees, a creepy old hag, a wolf with an evil smile and sharp teeth, an angry pirate, a scary green lady with horns and a pointy chin, and a sheet ghost with huge pupils (didn't know it was Donald at the time) all dancing to spooky music still gives me nightmares to this day. 😨

I still have this tape. And occasionally I’ll pop it in, the Zip-a-dee-do-da rap is the textbook definition of 90s cheese. As a little kid, this part kinda creeped me out when we watched it in music class once, nowadays “Great Outdoors” creeps me out because of the Country Bears itlooksliketheyregonnaeatthechildren. Side note: my mom said she was at the park when they filmed part of this tape. Can’t tell you which part, she just saw signs saying they were filming.

I got this Disneyland Fun VHS back in 1998 when I went to the US for the first time (we flew from Muscat, Oman to my mom's sister's place in Riverside and Torrance via Frankfurt) and that year was the first time I visited Disneyland (purchased it at Disneyland) and it was Christmas season that time. Sadly, we never got to spend Christmas day or New Year in the USA because my parents, who worked in the medical field in Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (the affiliate hospital of Sultan Qaboos University) had to go back as some of their colleagues were going home for the holidays and the hospital needed to be adequately staffed for the season so my parents took an early Christmas break from mid-November to December 15 but the best this is that we get to experience what the Christmas season was like in the USA. Being a person who has been to Disneyland three times (1998, 2003, 2005), I never was scared of this segment. I had visited the Haunted Mansion only once in my 2005 visit and that is the first and last time I saw the original Haunted Mansion (with the Beating Heart bride and the pop ups in the attic) before the 2006 re-haunt (introduction of Constance). I must say this prepared me for my first and only Mansion visit. And although a few elements creeped me out during my visit, I always thought that the ride itself had the feel of a magic show. I have seen many magic shows as a kid and some magicians showed us how to pull off the trick and how it requires practice but we were only limited to the basic tricks as some others are dangerous. The original version of the Haunted Mansion was like a Halloween magic show itself and some cast members told me how the tricks were pulled off. This Disneyland Fun is one of many videos I watched during my childhood over and over again from our return to Oman from USA to 1999 and early 2000 before we sent all our VHS tapes (including my home videos of me from newborn to toddler to USA 1998 to my turning 4) to the Philippines. Gosh I miss my childhood.
