If you have to back up be sure to raise your sickle mower off the ground....also sickle mowers don't like to go through hay thats already been cut, it'll wad up if you do
@Mr_Get_Muddy3 ай бұрын
Ya I saw that starting to happen up there. Was just excited to actually try it out. But that's a good tip on not backing up with it. Thanks.

Excited for the grader but still enjoy the old farm equipment videos. It’s fun for me to watch cause it’s not me fixing em. I did that my whole life growing up on my farm lol

I've got one more really old implement that might make its way into the shop. It's a very old seed drill

Hey man! Heard of your channel from DmaxRyno. Great content!! I dream to have property, and be able to do what you are doing in your videos! Keep it up!

Right on Brother ! Glad you like the channel it's definitely a lot of work to try and get this thing going. Just set some goals and go for it. Just to give you some optimism I literally started from ground zero with nothing to my name. So if I can do it anyone can.

Hey James, get you a draw bar for your 3 point arms so you can hook your rake up and use your 3 point to raise and lower it. No need for a jack.

My use to mow hay with the same John Deere 2020 except it was a gas. He had a long bar that held the cycle bar up for transport, thank you for taking time to make these old empliments run again . We use to bale alot of hay. Also I know are John Deere baler had what you call a shear pin if the hay is to green or thick, it would shear the bolt , i would try and watch some videos so you will know ahead of time. How to fix it . Take care and be safe
@Mr_Get_Muddy3 ай бұрын
Ya the International Harvester has a shear pin as well. I love these old implements. Mostly because I can't afford new ones lol. But also I love fixing these old things.

Very cool mower! I have one that looks similar. Mine is a massey ferguson, I don't remember the model. I had just got mine ready to go over a month ago. Then I found out that the pto doesn't work on my 165 massey ferguson. We bought another tractor (135 massey ferguson). And as luck would have it, I blew a power steering line. I had to disassemble half of the tractor to get to the line. So, I'm repairing a lot of other things that were questionable, and cleaning and painting. Hopefully, I will be done soon. Good luck with your mower!!

Man sounds like you got quite the project going on lol. Even though I would like a new tractor I still will always love the old iron. I feel a sense of accomplishment any time it goes and does some work lol.

Watch out for flint rocks too, was cutting a field with an old haybine and looked back and realized what I thought was dust, was indeed smoke 😂😂

@@Mr_Get_Muddy I’m so excited for you, been doing it for awhile. You have any questions let me know. Used to do about 1500acres over the year a few times and about 300 acres of Hay grazer multiple times a year.

I sure appreciate the frequent uploads. Did you quit doing paving and other city jobs?
@Mr_Get_Muddy3 ай бұрын
I wish I could quit my jobs lol 😆. I don't do so much of the paving anymore kind of shifted gears a little bit but can't really show too much of it.

Super happy to see yet another implement up and ready for service! I kinda think you're gonna need an Archdroid plasma cutter soon to self duplicate these parts before they wear out. Also think some covering on the tractor would be helpful especially when it gets hotter so you or the kids aren't baking in the sun. couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

Just make sure when you start it like that it’s not in gear. Had an old man start his vintage tractor from the side and it ran him over and killed him.
