David Long missed his first 4 games with an injury, but came back with an absolute BANG. He recorded 75 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 6 passes defensed and a fumble recovery. During his impressive Junior season, Long managed to have 18 tackles and 7 tackles for loss against Oklahoma State on October 28th, 2017. Long is definitely a player to watch for next season, especially if your offense is going up against him!

The thing that stands out to me is this kid doesnt have to cheat moving towards the line to make plays at or behind the line. He will make the read and still make speed to get behind the LOS. Rare type of talent here.

How is he in pass coverage? He is an excellent run stuffer and can plow through lineman to get to the quarterback, but from highlights and game film I haven't seen him in coverage really. I'm not saying he's bad at covering people, I just don't know how he is but either way this dude is a steal and will be successful hopefully next to Blake Martinez in GB

He's able to dominate games as a sophomore. He has coverage skills, insane nose for the ball and speed. The kid fits the new NFL hybrid linebacker role as well as anyone. After 2 more years, he's an early first round talent.

Ofcourse there's been better but David long is a stud and that's a fact .. he has the potential to play at the next level with his speed and strength... west Virginia gets some studs on defense every few years . .. remember Karl Joseph who was one of the hardest hitting safetys I've ever seen at the collegiate level
