@@BlackDiamond2718 exactly!! we like to make sense of things in our brain, and something without seemingly any purpose or direction can really confuddle us. things that we don't understand can scare us because we don't know the best way to think or act when we encounter and address those things or topics. so trying to withstand the disturbing images and unpleasant while having absolutely no idea what's happening, or why it's happening, can make horror even more unsettling. maybe gabe has a point... for once lol

One thing I never understood is Jim being surprised the doors were chained shut. Wouldn't he have gone out the front door to meet for the snowball fight? Dwight was already in the snowman so he couldn't have snuck by Jim to lock the doors. I also think Jim is aware of his surroundings enough so that Mose or someone else couldn't sneak past him, put loud chains around the door, then leave without him noticing.
