While travelling on the road from Lagos state to Delta state [in Nigeria], I encountered armed robbers, they attacked the bus right in-front of us, our bus managed to maneuver away from the attackers and fortunately there were military on patrol so after, some time we could pass through the road, while passing I could see travel bags opened and scattered on the road, I don't know if anyone was hurt but it seemed like the military got there on time before things got bleak, [Because there were like 10 guys in black with assault rifles] That could have easily been my bus, that was terrifying.

As a Libyan currently in Libya right now, I found your story about mistaking the fireworks as a machine gun hilarious. Lemme tell you people lighting firecrackers randomly here is incredibly common, as there's no fines or laws against it. I’ve been to a lot of places that sound scary like Sudan, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa even North Korea and lived in China for 4 years, thankfully nothing ever happened to me except the odd scam. This didn't happen to me, but I've heard this quite often in last week. Apparently some influencer posted his phone number on his channel and told people to message him and when people did, most of them suddenly started getting so many spam messages from companies trying to sell them shit instead of messsages from their favorite influencer. I heard it got so intense that they some victims even had to change their numbers. Quite a scary stuff.

Literally everyone who’s making these claims never once tried the number to see what happens when they gave Drew their info, they’re just passing along rumors that they’ve heard from others as if they were facts, because blindly believing gossip about others is easier than exercising just a bit of independent thought. Unless you yourself have actually been targeted by spammers after giving him your info, you have no evidence of what you’re claiming to be true. You’re simply passing along gossip as though it were factual, with no evidence to back your claims, and thus participating in the trashing of a genuinely good person as a result, which is a terrible thing to do to someone. Rather than blindly following what others tell you to believe, try thinking for yourself just a bit, by doing your own research, and seeing for yourself whether what others are saying is true, rather than participating in the really ugly cancel culture that is far too prevalent on social media these days.

It's not an adventure if it's safe. But seriously, if you do plan on travelling, I cannot stress this enough; research the language, customs and laws and you shouldn't really travel alone unless you're experienced, but if you do travel alone be sure you know where to avoid and never ever leave yourself alone in places you can be easily attacked without witnesses. Stay in populated areas, say you're Canadian if being an American is a bad thing where you're going and know where all embassies and law enforcement agencies are located where you are in case shit hits the fan. Oh, and make sure you get inoculated or you'll come back home with some really messed up diseases/illnesses.

drew please address the scamming accusations. as a long time viewer i am very upset about it and am seriously considering unsubscribing if this goes on any longer. we can forgive you, but by not addressing the issue it is making you seem more guilty and less honorable.

The scariest moment I had experienced during travel was that wild dogs chased me in mid night in New Delhi, India. I was on the way from home party to hotel, and it started raining. so I ran but dogs started chasing me... well.. one dog hit me but I was not bitten fortunately....
