This is a brilliant game dev blog, thank you for posting, I am really finding the videos and enjoyable AND educational!

Honestly, this is coming together pretty nicely! You are spot on with the amplification of work output you get with AI as a solo dev, it's a great tool and it does make it possible to get 80% of the way there where before you'd have nothing more than programmer art. Looking forward to the next one!

AI is perfectly fine to use as placeholder work. Enjoying the devlogs !

You can also activate scrips by attaching them to decorations. If you name a script the exact same name as the decoration the engine will used the script by default.

i think that's a good thing.. it sounds weird, but i feel like it makes you have a deeper connection with the community. or maybe its just weird nostalgia? reminds me of the cybersecurity communities back in the day

A majority (over 50%) of the top comments on most of this channel's semi-recent videos are at least semi negative. It is almost like a tradition.

Nah man, this is where you lost me. AI generated voices and artworks are a super lazy solution to a nothing problem. You could've easily found thousands of royalty free stock photos or even rendered your portraits in Blender but you chose the laziest route ever. There are hundreds of voice actors out there who'd be eager to volunteer for your project in order to get some work, but again, you decided to follow the lazy route. Being a solo developer is no excuse for these dirty shortcuts when there are people out there using their ingenuity to find solutions without the use of some magic do-it-all button. Stealing voices and regurgitating artworks is just lame...

In his defence he did say if he puts the game on steam he will remove the A.I garbage

@@HugoInfinite Naturally you're entitled to your opinion. I actually think it took more work on my part to craft the prompt to get the look I was after rather than just use a royalty free image. As for finding voice actors willing to record all those lines for free, please provide links to such resources as I'm sure I'd be very interested in using them. My previous experience is mostly using Fiverr, where most voice actors charge per 50 words.

That's nothing, I just purchased a new whip for the orphans! I'm glad I workout all the time and have strong arms.

@@TannerProductions No matter how long you spent "crafting" your prompt in the end you're still going the lazy route. If you do actually end up deleting all of the AI, then I am totally on board.

@@ThereIsNoMeMusic Nobody cares what you say, kiddo. (You) have never created anything noteworthy, with or without AI stuff. These tools are an excellent way to get around the messy copyright jungle, and to create truly original stuff.
