I once snapped The Phonics at Earls Court,Scarlet was there with her father.As a player (and photographer) it was great to meet her father,he was lovely,this was about ten years ago.Then last year I was returning from Wales in my car,and there was a hitchhiker I gave a lift to,a young tall good looking lad who noticed my guitar on the back seat.Asked me if I liked Zep,I extolled all my quite impressive Zep knowledge and told him how I’d met Jimmy etc…anyways,as I stopped to let him out,he said ‘I’ve got something to admit,I’m Jimmy Page’s son Ashen ! We had a good laugh…great times/great tales ! Cheers to the Page’s .

Great stories! I'm surprised the resemblance between Jimmy and Ashen didn't strike you right away, because Ashen looks a LOT like Jimmy. But then again, I have met people who are in the public eye, and they always look different in person.

And if your gonna cry Dazed & Confused, Zeppelin's has no musical or lyrical similarity to Holmes I'm Confused. And Spirit lost their lawsuit 4 times for Stairway to Heaven. Whole Lotta Love, How Many More Times, Since I've Been Lovin' You, lyrics only, and then only a line or two, not music, Robert again. Lemon Song, lyric.. Same. Now what about the other 50+ tunes? Page and Zeppelin are the best. Deal with it. I was there, I know, did the research, saw them live 176 times. LedHed Steven 🎸 🎹 🎸

I saw a picture of Jimmy with Scarlet when she was a kid - I always think of this picture as "Jimmy with his wife, daughter and cats"... he's got these kittens in his arms. Watching this interview I also remember Jimmy saying that he took her to see TSRTS and in the hermit scene, the little one started screaming "it's not daddy, it's not daddy!"

I remember seeing a photo of Scarlett and her mom Charlotte, when she is maybe 10 . I've never heard or read the episode about her screaming " it's not daddy". That's wild. I went to see the TSRTS soundtrack film on opening weekend. This was on the outskirts of Houston,TX. It was shown in two walk-in theaters, the lines were very long. We were wondering if we would get in or be turned away. We made it, and it great, the volume was turned up and people in the theater hooped & hollered after each tune . Just like being at a concert. Smoking was still allowed back then, and there was a funny smell that would hit the old nostrils once and awhile. Miss Scarlett truly takes after her dad, he couldn't ever deny her! She seems to be a nice lady, and not above others with the wealth of her dad.

Jimmy was the reason I started playing guitar. I ended up moving to Los Angeles in the 90s and looked her up in the phone book for some reason... and she was in it! I didn't have the guts to call though.

Jimmy is my favorite guitarist. When I found out he played on my dad's record (the Talismen) as a session guitarist, I was so proud! My dad, on the other hand, refused to believe his parts were covered. He wasn't a Zeppelin fan, strangely enough.

Scarlet, I had the pleasure of loaning your Dad (,Pagey as he asked me to call him) a cigarette outside of the National Guard Armory in LaPorte ,Indiana back in late 1966, when he was in The Yardbirds with Jeff Beck (RIP Jeff).He favored menthol cigarettes I smoked then (Kool cigs). He was a likable dude and we chatted a few minutes before he had to go back in and play another set. and now we know the rest of the story...... : )He would not remember it like I can but hope he is well and doing fine health wise. I am 73. Rockin' On. Peace.

The Les Paul in Scarlet's beautiful photo is not the "number 1" (1959 or 1960 Les Paul Standard Sunburst with no serial number that came from Joe Walsh) - it is the browner "number 2" 1959 Les Paul Standard Sunburst.

@@frankquinn1296 - I was just describing the guitar and what Jimmy Page called it - the one that is not in this picture has no serial number because it was shaved off when the neck was narrowed. Jimmy Page just called it number 1 - he obviously wasn't referring to the serial number. The one in Scarlet's photo, on the other hand, actually does have a serial number (not "2"), but Jimmy Page referred to it as his "number 2". So, Scarlett was mistaken, but I like that this photo has the number 2 Les Paul in it - since Jimmy Page played it less often in performances, there are less photos available that show it.

Watching Keith Williams videos, are you? The serial number doesn’t get removed when the neck is shaved down. The serial number is stamped into the wood on the back of the headstock. Re-finishing could remove it.

@@Matthew_Eitzman I don't know who Keith Williams is, but - obviously, a neck - including the headstock - has to be refinished after doing that kind of work on the neck. Did Keith describe the process? Just from general woodworking knowledge, I think most would un-bolt the neck from the guitar body, take off the fretboard and all headstock hardware, shave the neck, remove the finish from the rest of the neck and the headstock, refinish the entire neck and headstock, reinstall fretboard and headstock hardware and bolt back onto the guitar. Are you saying the Les Paul Jimmy Page bought from Joe Walsh came from the Gibson shop brand new without a serial number on the headstock? If not, how is there not one there? Did the neck on that one not come with the guitar?
