She is "weaker" in the MCU than she is in the comics, but so is like literally everybody else to some degree. The power scaling is just inferior in general in the MCU. If you compare the "place" the Scarlet Witch occupies in both adaptations, it's honestly about the same (aka very high in their respective adaptation). Either way, she's always been one of the most interesting characters in the franchise. Elizabeth Olsen has done a very job portraying her in the MCU too.

I think the whole reason wandas backstory is sooo confusing is because people don't know who she really is.. let's take a moment to look at the elements of Wanda as "the scarlet witch".. magic can be broken down into colors.. she's scarlet for a reason.. look at real witchcraft what does scarlet represent.? The scarlet aura represents an unnatural love affair.. hence Wanda and vision.. Wanda and her brother.. Wanda and her father.. her true father.. Awesome video, Wanda Maximoff is one of the most powerful female characters in Marvel comics, and also in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is basically my main favorite one inside the MCU, but in the comics she is one of my favorite ones. Also Wanda's anatomy completely changed when she became a user of the Chaos Magic, this is because when she became the Scarlet Witch her entire being was modified inside and she became a magical being.

(That was an altar in that temple, y'all, not a "throne," as she called it.) Her last act of destroying every universe's Darkhold showed immense multiversal powers, didn't it? People stop saying SW is more powerful than Jean. Jean and Wanda are very close in power in base. That means Wanda without Chaos Magic and Jean without Phoenix Force. Jean already had a taste of her full power as White Phoenix. Wanda has never had anything close to controlling full Chaos Magic. Only HoM demonstrated a higher percentage of her power. Which was indeed retconned from being life forces to being chaos magic. The Chaos wave was stated to be miniscule to what Chthon could do and that Chthon could muster multiple of them with ease. Which tells us HoM wasn't even close to her having full chaos magic. Not to mention she was in an awful state of mind at the time and went crazy from the power. Wanda can be compared to Jean in her base, but her potention hasn't been explored enough yet to compare her to dark or even white phoenix. Her new comics are indeed opening up to Primordial Chaos, which seemingly controls Phoenix, although that is not confirmed and we need to hear more of it first. Right now she's incredibly powerful, she even stated she could beat Thor easily. Heck she even mocked Gaea and the Vishanti, but that doesnt yet put her as high as dark phoenix.

Yeah, that part is stupid. The Phoenix Force is the creation force, the big bang and the last fire that consumes everything. It represents life itself, Wanda is a life bcz the force wills it.. when Cyclops has 1/2 of the powers of the Phoenix Force, Wanda's powers were useless. It was displayed already.
