The Scarlet Witch dominates the MCU, but does her FASHION also reign supreme? Come along with me on one of my most EPIC RANKINGS YET as we traverse the ✨ChAotiC✨ comic book herstory of Wanda Maximoff-Lensherr and put her sorceress digs to the test of time!
I'm ranking 24 costumes from her X-Men & Avengers comic book appearances, her animated TV appearances, and also her live-action Movie appearances (*phew*). As always, I am guided by the beautiful artistry of Russell Dauterman and am only ranking the costumes he has fan-art'd himself.

My personal favorites are Classic Avengers Scarlet Witch, All New All Different Scarlet Witch, WandaVision Scarlet Witch, MoM Scarlet Witch, Wolverine & The X-Men Scarlet Witch, and the Crossing Scarlet Witch. Personally I love the boots, long gloves, lace-up corset, cloak, and simple headpiece that gives her the feel of both a psychic and mystic character.

X-men evolution wanda intrigued me so much as a kid. I already loved scarlet witch from the comics by that point but their take on her was refreshing. Actually the whole series was really good you got to witness them improve with their abilities as the seasons came by and the storylines were also well written. Also, no fainting jean every damn episode lmao

Realize I'm super lttp and the chance of you seeing this is slim, but why not? We have diff tastes in costume design normally, but this one I'm 99% in agreement with. The only thing I'd change is place the ANAD costume at the top (LOVE that look!) and notch everything else down. Also, pedantic as hell, but seeing as Chthon is meant to be one of Marvel's Lovecraftian elder god analogs, I believe the pronunciation is supposed to mirror Chthulu (kuh-THON)

I believe her naivety is there because if she wasn't, a lot of her power usage would make her into a straight up villain vs someone who was hoping for the best or fooled to using her powers. Speaking of, I wonder what her Intelligence scale was on the back of the original and also their Fleer cards. I wish I still had all of my cards.

Wanda's "Romani heritage" costume is actually not Romani at all. It's a belly dancing outfits typically used by belly dancers and, as Romani used to be thought as deriving from Egypt, the West world just depicted many Romani characters as somewhat ancient Egypt belly dancers. They also thought that Romani people were originated in Bohemia. This was before the more recent finding that revealed Romani people as a branch of Indian (the sub-continent) civilization. The artist who created the design for Wanda had apologized for making such a racist costume in later years as Romani visibility became more prominent.

It's k-thon. Comes from chthōn, which is a Greek word that means earth, often used to describe underworld-related business. Anyway, greek c's and ch's are always k sounds. They don't have sh-sounds

LOVE the Dark Scarlet Witch one. Pretty much a stylish, villainous minimalist departure from all her other trash outfits. LOL. Yup, that's what I think about all her other looks. Although I dressed in her campy classic costume for Halloween 2020 after being obsessed after watching WandaVision.
