i did a psychology diploma and what i learnt is the reason why we get bipola and depression is because we believe the negative thoughts we tell ourselvs which are NOT true and why we get anxiety is because we fear the worst and it triggers our thoughts with out feelings and then collides with out actions causing us to'' break down'' or have a panic attacks and anxiety, So knowing that a person has had it for years there thought process either was caused by outsiders, hanging around with the wrong crowed,or just doubting themselves! love your videos kiera xx

Kiera, a good alternative to heatless curls are pin curls. you take a 1-2 inch section of hair and wrap it around you index and middle fingers, you thne finish the wrapped hair and wrap it to your scalp ( it should look like a hoop or circle) and then pin it securely, repeat this all over your head. It is best to do this with damp hair, enjoy your ringlets! :)

i love doing twist braids when my hair is wet for curly hair. its basically just taking two strands of hair, twisting each of them in the same direction, then twisting them together in the opposite direction of which they were curled. it usually looks really nice after you combed your fingers through it a few times!
@amelia124897 жыл бұрын
My favourite wet hair style when my hair was long was to put it into two plaits (the ones that are like cornrows so they sit on the top of your head). I'd do that while it was wet, then I'd wear the plaits the next day (otherwise my hair would still be wet!) and then the day after that I'd take them out and I'd have beautiful curly waves!!! Loved the video xxxx

I usually braid my hair into 3-6 braids. You can also use sponge rollers to keep the braids in place and keep the ends from looking overly straight. Also you can twist your hair into a bun onto of your head very tightly and use a soft elastic/cloth band to keep it in place.

my favorite way to make my hair wavy is putting them up in a french braid - a really high one where you start with only small strands from the top of your head and trying to braid them down to the ends as far as possible. wouldn't recommend to do it with very damp hair, it should be 95% dry with only some very light rests of moisture! keep the braid at least 4-5 hours, overnight works as well.

Hi Kiera-heatless waves have worked best on my hair when I wait to twist the hair until it's almost dry. Wet hair doesn't have the opportunity to dry and form to the curl. Works best if you have naturally straight hair too. 💜

Sleeping in a damp braid is my go to style! The trick I use is to wait until my hair air drys first. Then I braid my dry hair. Then I dampen the braid with a homemade sea salt spray :) then I sleep over night and it's awesome!! It's always dry by morning and the salt adds texture to my thin straight hair. Sometimes I also add an it of air drying product to add even more texture!

For pretty neat looser curles, look up headband curles, it's quick and easy once you get the hang of it, for the way you did it, it generally works better when you work with much smaller sections, about 6 or more on each side and the hair is only very slightly damp otherwise it just won't get a chance to dry overnight.

I have really long hair and I almost never use heat on it. If I want waves in my hair I braid it damp and sleep with them in overnight. The more braids you do the more varied your waves will be. For curls I go the old fashioned route and put my damp hair in foam rollers. Then I put a scarf or bandana on my head and sleep on them. It can be a little uncomfortable at first but I sleep on my belly so it's not too bad. The bigger the rollers and bigger the curls. For both the braids and the rollers and spray a bit of hairspray on them before I take them out to help keep the wave or curl's shape. Hope this helps!

pin curlers after a shower, (takes FOREVER but it works pretty damn well) or foam curlers after a shower, sleep in em and take them out in the morning. blow-dry with your head upside down, towards the ceiling not towards the ground. scrunch hair towards your scalp while drying until done. style with mouse or other styling creams of your choice. i have natural ringlets, but my mom has natural waves, and to emulate my ringlets she does this.

Kiera Rose, a little tip for potting plants: put 1:3 of sand, small round rocks, leca, 1cmx1cm pieces of tree bark, perlite or some other stuff in to the potting soil, it makes the heavy soil more light and airy and water dosnt stay in the pot for too long! 😄👍🌱

Try a wrap around braid, leaves my hair super wavy. Basically separate your hair into two chunks, and then take on chunk and braid it so that it goes around the back of your head to come and meet the second chunk (sorry for using the word chunk but you kno). And then once you get it to meet the other side, leave the braided piece alone while you braid the second chunk, and then have them come together in the end. Kinda like a side braid!

@MissRedheadRapunzel7 жыл бұрын
Hey Kiera, I'd suggest looking at some youtube tutorials on pillow curls and overnight wet sets. A Vintage Vanity does some excellent tutorials along with Cherry Dollface. Using a lotion will help set it and not on freshly washed hair, do it on day old dry hair. Most are alcohol based if you find some and they last the longest. You can also use curly hair mousse. I use linseed lotion. A tablespoon of linseed/flaxseed in with a cup of water on the stove for ten minutes and straining it through a metal sieve is all you need to make a lotion that is hypoallergenic, good for sensitive scalps/damaged hair, has no scent so add in some essential oil like lavender or rose that's gentle on the skin to make it smell nice and that will last for a day or two. The alcohol based setting lotion lasts longer though and dries easier. I'd suggest the pillow pin curls for comfort, less products and faster to do if you use a good ol' wooden dolly peg. You are gonna need a tonne of bobby pins so try and get the hair dressing ones so they don't do that stupid cross over thing cause you need them to stick in there. I'd also suggest wrapping your hair in a scarf that breathes like a silky or cottony one that'll help dry it over night and worse case scenario, just blow dry it in place in the morning.

I usually put some sea salt spray in my hair while it's wet and then french braid it fairly tightly. The sea salt spray makes it stay a little bit better than it normally would without making it all crusty like hairspray does. If you want it extra wavy do two french braids.
@ChristineBudgets7 жыл бұрын
I sleep in braids for wavy hair, that works well for me - sometimes I'll do one French braid but a lot of times I do pigtails! I'm not sure about curl - you could always sleep in curlers (foam rollers) like they did in ye olden days!

I put my hair in two plaits and then tie those up in buns not too tight, and that makes my hair quite wavy, depending on how much hair you have and how wavy you want it depends on how many plaits/braids you may want to use xx

For the hair thing, start with dry hair that you've sprayed wet, I had the same problem with the same technique and when I did it with much dryer hair it works perfectly. If you want to do it with wet hair, try plaiting your hair before bed and taking them out in the morning.

Sleeping with plaits in works wonders for getting your hair to curl. :) Plait whilst it's wet then leave it in. That tends to create smaller curls rather than big wavy curls but I always used to like it and you can brush them out a little bit to soften it. I guess if you did looser plaits too then the curls would be bigger/looser but I haven't tried that so I don't know for sure. :)

My hair doesn't dry in my sleep, so I recommend you use curling mousse while it's wet (Pantenne works well) and then dry your hair with the blow dryer, brush it out and put four braids in your hair, then if you have those little kinks at the top of your hair, straighten the very top and let the bottom stay wavy! :)
@kevs977 жыл бұрын
you can braid your hair when its wet/damp and sleep in it (I find normal braid makes mine more wavy and fishtail braid more spiraly). OR my fave thing at the moment it to wash it then wait til its half dry, part it, then on each side twist it, (kinda like how you would if you were just twisting it round your finger but on a bigger scale), and then use a little hair bobble to tie the two sides together at the ends, either behind your head (slightly harder but more comfortable) or in front under your chin (will make you look like you have a little beard). I hope that made ANY sense

Hair idea for you... Divide your hair into 4/6 sections depending on the thickness of your hair and just plait it normally. The smaller the plait the tighter the waves will be. I always do this when I want wavy hair as it saves me from using heat on my hair. A lot quicker than using a curling tool aswell xx
@DarthShadie7 жыл бұрын
I've tried braids for intense waves, either 2 or 3 big braids, or 5 or 6 smaller ones. I also found the look with twirlbraids interesting. Not sure the official name, but you know the 2 parts braids, you twirl each part and then twirl the two parts around each other. I just realise I am so bad at explaining hair styles. Anyway, that works for me, but my hair has to be completely dry, if it's still a bit wet when I undo it, it falls, since it's so long, so I suggest waiting until your hair is a bit dryer than wet, and waiting a bit longer before undoing it.
