Anyone in the comment section that still has issues with sound coming out of the Scarlett, you have to download Focusrite Control software. If you had, download again and reinstall! Then do these steps! It drove me crazy for a week. But once you do, everything will play through the Scarlet.

I did downloaded it and as soon as I connected the mixer to my computer the computer starts to restart many times until I disconnect the mixer. Like troubleshooting

Hey mathew I love the way u do ur videos, 1:57 idk why but when I connect my audio interface with all the drivers installes my pc does recognize the 2i2 as speakers instead a soundcard just like you, in your sound output says Focusrite USB, but mine just says Speakers Focusrite, something like that, please if u know the fix tell me about it. Thank you for this video. Turns out I wasn't doing anything wrong, the volume was just turned down so low I couldn't hear it coming out of my headphones.

Hey Matthew, I recently bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen. I have a couple of questions I hope you'll answer. In the Input tab, it's showing 'Analogue 1 + 2 (Focusrite USB Audio)' instead of 'Focusrite USB Audio'. Also in the sound control panel, instead of showing the chip type icon and the text 'Focusrite USB', it's showing a speaker icon alongside the text 'Speakers' with subtexts 'Focusrite USB Audio' and 'Default communications device'. When I select it, click on properties and go to the advanced tab, I see only 2 formats: 16 bit 48,000Hz and 24bit 48,000 Hz. In the recording tab of the sound control panel, again it's showing 'Analogue 1 + 2' with a wire icon instead of Focusrite USB with a chip icon. When I select it and click on properties, in the advanced tab, I see 4 options: 1 channel 16 bit 48,000 Hz, 1 channel 24 bit 48,000Hz, 2 channel 16 bit 48,000Hz and 2 channel 24 bit 48,000Hz Why is there a difference between mine and your config? Am I doing something wrong?

I upgraded my Sennheiser headphones, sounds great, unfortunately some songs sound muck thru ur device, I need to play with the bass, maybe less or more base or treble not sure... asked th Focusrite support and the give me articules unrelated to my delema!!!I have Focusrite 2i2 Please help!!

I tried these settings and I can hear youtube videos playing at a super low volume through the Focusrite but all volumes are turned all the way up. Games still come out through my computer though. Any things I might be able to try? Thanks

When I don’t have the drivers installed, my microphone works fine when I install the focus rite drivers I cannot hear my microphone unless I crank it all the way up, and even then it barely shows a signal coming through. But as I said without the focus rite drivers installed, it works perfect.

Hey Matt! Great videos. Just a quick question, I have brand new speakers and 2i2, it works just fine! But I am just curious if setting it up as you mention in this video will be necessary? For example, will it improve the sound or is there something I am missing or can I just get lost in music production right meow without further setup? Thanks!

I'm currently trying to connect my focusrite headphones to my windows 10 computer. After clicking 'sound' There is no 'Focusrite USB (Focusrite USB Audio)' Option for me to click on. My computer only has the following two output device options: Speakers (2- Focusrite USB audio) Speaker/headphone (Realtek(R)Audio) Neither option works. Please, if someone knows the answer to this issue please let me know.

I have the same issue. My mic and headphones that are plugged into the focusrite won't work and I have zero audio for my computer. My options or 2 or 3 -focusrite USB audio, but my master volume is stuck on mute.

i bought it a month ago and it was working fine but two days ago i was listening music on youtube and suddenly my right side of headphone stops working. i changed the headphones and changed the jack too but i am only listening with left side only any solutions ? is it the headphone jack that got faulty ? because i have tried each and every solution through windows but right side is not working on focusrite headphone monitor.

Great vid man Curious, you touched on advanced settings a bit but my question is, on the drop down where you’re able to choose the number of channels on your interface. I have a clarett + 8pre but I’m currently only running a 4 mic set up through inputs 3-6. Am I good to select 4 channels on my pc sound settings, or should I go ahead and select 8. Thanks! I need some help. I have 1010 bluebox with a few inputs from a few hardware pieces. Now I have a Complete Control keyboard that plays via their software on the PC. My question is: how can I get my PC to output audio to record into my bluebox? Will the Scarlett allow me to do that?

Having nightmare using Focusritte scarlet in Pro Tools. No problem with vocals going into the interface, the problem is the output and playback both in headphones and recording is very quiet. Even on the channel, it's hardly registering, certainly not where it should be. Any ideas? I am using a windows 10 PC. I can't turn the input level up higher or it will start clipping into the red on the interface so that's not what I would want. Is the problem with the interface output or is it something else? I don't want to use compressors to boost volume on my vocals, I do use it on my acoustic guitar. It's happening with guitars as well. However I did some recording using the Focusritte using Reason 11 Intro. Works fine. Perfect output into channel in Reason. In fact playback as a whole is loud and clear. I am baffled. New to recording my music. It's got to be in the set up in Pro Tools or the computer or both. HELP! 😱😱😱😡

I have a JBL Pebbles speaker wherein the main connection is a USB that goes into the PC/Laptop (ie Right speaker) and the left one is supposed to be connected into the right through a 1/8" cable that is attached to Left speaker itself. If that's the case then how am I supposed to connect it to the Audio Interface? The main (right) speaker does have an Aux input though

If this would only work LOL Have one that will land against the wall pretty soon... Followed step by step the instructions .... Works for a while then at win10 updates crashes... Chances are that if you landed on this video you are pulling your hair right now...Do yourself a fave... Return it if you run into trouble and get another brand if you still can...

@@gabrielharo2097 exactly but I fixed the problem. I dowloaded a DAW and set my focusrite as the default sound card for this DAW. Dunno why it works though :/
