It's amazing how bad the movies are, yet these cinematic trailers for the Star Wars games always look incredible. There's several other cinematic trailers for Star Wars games that you could react to.

Thats because the cg cinematic trailers are usually created by people who love the lore and a passion for the art from. It's not tainted by marketing who just caters to whats "currently popular"

The game came out in 2011. It's like the Star Wars equivalent to World of Warcraft. This trailer is for the newest expansion.

When Sa'har engaged Malgus in combat, Malgus had already won. Because rage is a path to the Dark Side and the Dark Side he knows well. The true power of a Sith Lord lies in the ability to twist others into following this path, and it takes a true master of the Dark Side to be able to turn a Jedi Padawan into a Sith Apprentice.

Also doesn't help that he has the hypocrisy of the Jedi to use against them. When Luke brought "balance" to the force after ROTJ, he rebuilt the jedi order. He also rejected some of their teachings of attachment when he married Mara Jade and produced offspring. Of course Disney thought that was useless and made a shitty sequel trilogy that was pathetic compared to the source material, while Kennedy said that there was little source material to rely on.

The machine was Malgus's built to find the kids the Jedi deemed not worth. He said this is how the Sith and the Jedi maintain control. Control over the force. Malgus is no longer a Sith Lord but a Force Lord. You hear him give the "NOOOO!!!". Like Vader did when his machine was destroyed by the Jedi. As per the Sith code and so our chains are broken. He told Sa'har when She is ready ... Break Free. As Malgus has done.

one of the things of the old republic is that as a game, its pretty tame and outdated. But narratively speaking its fun, of course, you really need to be into lore driven games and star wars.

I agree, it's really well done. Though I will say it's not a game coming out it's an update that's coming to an mmorpg that has been out for awhile now. Pretty fun too, but not for everyone. Can recommend the other Cinematics for it as well though.

The game itself is pretty ok to sometimes quite good in my opinion, the stories and characters are what keeps me playing but this most recent expansion was a huge let down to the whole community, basically they released an expansion which you could complete in 1 hour and 30 mins if you really wanted to. I think this trailer was great and the concept is good but the execution of the expansion this was accompanying was pretty lacklustre.

The game doesn't look anything like these trailers. The game is basically World of Warcraft: Star Wars Edition (but that's really lessening what SWTOR is) and has a sort of oversaturated cartoonish look to it. These trailers are done by Blur Studios which makes some of the best CG trailers in the business.

Gameplay graphics is much, much worse (its still 2010 game), but they have excellent game mechanisms, strong storylines, excellent story-telling and morale decision system. Playing game last six years and while its MMO, its perfectly fit even for single player, because of story-telling.

This trailer already looks like it will be better then Ep. 7,8,9. However, the Twi'Lek does do some God Mod moves but that's ok in a game and it will tell us players how and why she is so powerful as the story goes on.

7:13 This, like your other reactions for this Star Wars content, isn't the game. It's an animated feature based on the story told in those games. The actual games are HUGE step down (animation-wise) from what you're watching. I wish the game could replicate what the folks behind these animated shorts continually do, but it doesn't look like the money is there for that. That said, having a game in which you can do just about anything, likely limits what the final product is going to look like, cuts have to be made and for these games, it was the in-game animation. I wish they settled on a linear story with two campaigns or maybe two separate games released on the same day, for Light and Dark side while keeping the overall animation on par with games like the Last of Us or even Star Wars Battle Front, but alas they took a different avenue =/
