I had some big brown leather Scarpa Trionic hiking boots many years ago. they were the most comfortable footwear of any kind that I’ve ever tried in my life! They also had great quality and durability. They lasted many years. They gave you a feeling of total comfort and stability no matter what the surface.

Great initial review! And great to see Scarpa on the map of trail running! Very popular for mountaineering here in Europe. This is my telemark shoe brand for 20 years. Pavlov reflex. How do these Spin Infinity compare to their Italian brothers La Sportiva? Say the Akasha or the Jackal? Thanks a lot!
@RoadTrailRun3 жыл бұрын
As we get some more pairs we will compare to Akasha a shoe I haven't test but think comparable. Compared to Jackal Infinity is more cushioned and with a more accommodating fit and I think better traction.

Picked these up for 50 bucks on clearance at Sierra, curious to see how they turn out.

Ordered the Spin 2.0 after watching your Scarpa video wanted the golden gate keema RT but spring 22 s a long way off!

Spring 2022 is not that far away as season's shoes arrive before actual season. Not sure when but might expect late this year or early next

This looks very comparable to the Saucony Xodus 11, the upper upgrade from the 10 was a massive improvement. I’ll have to look at Scarpa more closely they seem to be a good competitor to Salomon.🤘🏃♂️😎

Looking forward to the full review! How do these compare to Brooks Cascadia 16?
@RoadTrailRun3 жыл бұрын
They play in similar territory. The Scrapa is more cushioned and more forgivingly so than the Cascadia 16. It is more flexible as it does not have a rock plate, so somewhat more big shoe agile and none is really needed. My sense is that for highly technical and "near hiking" terrain Cascadia, for all around ultra and long Infinity

Can you compare to the Topo Ultraventure 2? I have my eye on that shoe but these may be a better choice. Thanks!
@RoadTrailRun3 жыл бұрын
Sorry down have UV2 but hope in written review to have someone who has tested both. In Topo I would say MTN Racer 2 is a closer comparison.

After 20 sek. video: There is something very Topo-style about them... Appart from the toebox... I'm awaiting some midsole review about the Scarpa. I'm so disapointed with how misrable the Speedgoat is in temperatures below 7 degr. C, as it just gets harder and harder. Below 5 degr. C I'm not using the Speedgoat anymore. I've got the NB Fresh Foam More for that !

toe box due to soft mesh gets close to say MTN Racer 2's

Waiting for the in-depth review! I've just put this one on the radar. Could this be a good Ultraventure v1 substitute? They're very comfortable for ultras but there's just no way I can get a solid lock and my feet slide all the way to the front, which totally ruins trail running for me, because I love bombing downhill.
@RoadTrailRun3 жыл бұрын
Maybe but it is a fairly roomy toe box. the hold advantage for the Infinity is that X shaped overlay which extends the mid foot hold somewhat further forward. I will say the Infinity is more cushioned than UV.

Could you compare this Scarpa Spin Infinity to the new V3 On Running Cloudventure?
@RoadTrailRun3 жыл бұрын
Sorry don’t have it yet but by spec the ON is less shoe. A shorter distance option.

Have someone compared this with the Scarpa Ribelle Run?.I'm just a casual trail runner.
@RoadTrailRun Жыл бұрын
Sorry we have not. Infinity would be a good choice if your trails are more rugged. If for more “door to trail” runs consider Nike Pegasus Trail 4, ASICS Fuji Lite, or Saucony Ride 16 TR

Also Saucony Xodus Ultra for in between these and Infinity

How do they compare to Salomon ultra glide? Thanks
@RoadTrailRun3 жыл бұрын
More stable, more cushioned, better traction, better rock protection but heavier. The UltraGlide is more a smoother trails cruiser in comparison
@georgesa.videau83323 жыл бұрын
@@RoadTrailRun Thank you. Looks like what I'm looking for, between Salomon Ultra glide and Ultra 3. I'm also looking at the spin 2.0 to replace my old sense pro 4.

@@RoadTrailRun i wasn't a big fan of the ultraglide. felt a little flat to me and the fit was off compared to other salomon's i've run in. looking forward to trying out the infinity.
