This album holds a special place in my heart. I was so excited and happy that he created a solo project (with John Dolmayan on drums). I always wanted to hear his voice in a fuller way from System. I regret not getting to see him LIVE when he was supporting their debut. :/ Personal favorite: "Insane".
@oui2611 Жыл бұрын
soad was kinda sneakily heading into this direction anyways. if you go from self titled to hypnotize you hear daron progressively be more and more prominent on vocals, serj was almost taking a back seat in 2005 until boom, daron is the lead vocalist without serj

I feel pretty similar. Never got to see Scars with John, but I did actually see them in 2018 when they released their second album and played a one show tour for it at the Fonda Theater in LA. Having been a fan of System of a Down since I was 11 (13 years at that point), it was fucking surreal to be 10 feet from Daron Malakian.

I know SOAD is back together kinda since they were at Rockin Ring or Rockin Rio in 2013 but that's all I've heard also with System Daron needs to switch back to Ibanez because you can barley hear the guitar when they're live /:

Or you think SG haven't got enough of a power for a guitar...for this kind of a gig? Believe me. It's just bad monitors. I had that bad experience on playing live. The band, and their gear is not to blame in here. And you can here the deference here and there, from song to song.
@oldmanuserphan4 жыл бұрын
@@niklas4961 I've played many gigs where monitors blew out, the power amp fails mid song, or the BOH engineer is a worthless fuck who shouldn't be working in live sound. This does have a better mix than if they just used the FOH live mix so someone did some mixing and post processing after recording. Whoever mixed this did a pretty horseshit job.
