Daron is my all time favorite guitar player. Growing up listening to soad I couldn't help but learn a few of them amazing riffs. I just learned how to play this song as well. Probably my favorite Scars on Broadway song

This song, aerials, holy mountains and Babylon all have a very similar picking pattern. Aerials gets the most attention, but the 2nd half of Babylon is one of the best parts Daron has written, along with the musical theatre like 2nd half of stealing Society and the bridge for Deer Dance.

I absolutely loved scars when their debut album came out! I love system, I love serj's solo work, and I still love daron... this in my opinion was daron at his best. He obviously had alot to say, alot of ideas, and soad was obsolete by this point I guess.. I remember when serj released "elect the dead" I was so psyched! Loved it.. and I felt much the same with this first scars record.. I dunno man I just thought daron looked cool as shit in this era! rockin the crazy hippie mountain man Charles Manson look lol plus just the whole vibe of the album, talking about society crumbling/failing, daron truly LOOKED the part of the crazy man and it was fuckin awesome 🤣 😂😂😂 good shit! Really wish one day system would reunite but I guess it probably won't happen..😢😢😢 Soad is a band I really regret never seeing live!
