I have watched many KZbin videos about the Island especially from the 4wd 247 guys.... On Fraser Island, there are three types of lake formations: Window Lake. When the surface of the ground drops below the natural water table and fills to form a lake. Barrage Lake. These lakes occur when a sand mass creates a natural dam that blocks the water flow and creates a lake. Perched Lake. Are formed above the water table in a depression in the sand. Just adding to knowledge sharing.

Always carry a can of fart spray with ya for the dingoes. It works good. I'm still watching. Running Ball sinker all the way to 3 gang 4/0 hooks or a chrome spinner on sunset or dawn for Tailor. Keep ya bait moving. Slow retrieve. Cook food before dark avoid the doggies

Ha ha, I slept out next to my camp fire one night on Fraser, couldn’t be bothered putting my tent up. Woke up in the middle of the night surrounded by Dingoes, with one nibbling on my finger. Chased them away a few times but those eyes just kept coming back every time I lay down to get sleep- spooky. Ended up sleeping under fourbie to get some sleep that night 😀

Thanks for sharing this awesome location, paradise. Love it to pieces for the reasons becoming obvious in your footage. Dingoes, just ignore them, they wander thru the camp, sus it out and if you are doing everything right, (no food left out) they just move on. Never ever had an issue, never raised a hand, stick whatever, just totally ignore them. Crows are often more of an issue, they totally intrude a camp and ransack it. Waiting for part 2. 👍

Enjoy your content, love Fraser Island, flew there from Brisbane in a little Cessna onto a grass runway on our 1st anniversary, 40 years ago. Still remember snorkeling around the pier by the old whaling station. Loved Hayman island too, back then it just had little tiny private bungalows. We’d gone there a year earlier on our honeymoon. Flew all over on Ansett and TransAustralia. Really hope to get back someday. But in the meantime we’ll travel with you!

thanks legend! im very lucky to have Sarah she is my rock, she is the ying to my yang! to be completely honest mate don't have dinner with people very often, we are finding it a bit overwhelming with the amount of people we run into that follow the channel! all so lovely, We love having a chat and chewing the fat, but we cant have dinner with everyone, we feel like we let people down by saying no and that pressure & feeling like we are letting people down cripples us! so we try keep to ourself and hunt the uncrowded spots! I have always wanted to do Fraser. the only thing that stops me is the "no camp fires"! YES I know there is more to camping than a fire, and yes I understand why they don't want fires over there (just a few years ago should prove that!). But to me.......... you aren't camping if you don't have a fire! I was in the army, and "camped" heaps, without a fire! Im not going to do it again if I can help it!! love your content, and just bought the itech 120X, dDCDC40 and battery monitor after watching a bunch of your vids! thanks for the help in deciding on which brand to use!

It went after the pot of food, so I scared him away with a big knife then he came again, I threw a storta blacket over tue pot and scared him again and he came back to pull the blanket, vut then left.
