Scary Flying Ghost Prank

Do you want to scare your entire neighborhood and possibly end up on the local news? Well look no further! We made a cheap and easy ghost using black and white tissue for gift bags, fishing line, tape, and a marker! The muscle was provided by my spark. Yes guys, I said spark! My tiny drone had no problem carrying this 4 foot ghost.

Imagine you decorate your house, have spooking lighting, jack-o-lanterns, frothing witch pots, haunting music and sound effects, and then four or five of these flying around the house at about 14-20 feet in figure eights. You’d have the coolest Halloween decorations in human history. You’d just have to convince a few kids to fly them. Probably would have to take shifts, as I’m sure the novelty would wear off.

@@ShadowsandCityLights we apologize for the delay on the DIY. I’ll give you a breakdown of what we did before we make a how to vid. -the drone used is a DJI spark. You can use pretty much any drone of that size or bigger (4” props or bigger) -the ghost is simply gift bag tissue , the light weight paper that fills the void around a present. You can get it at Walmart, dollar tree and a lot of places. For the head we wadded up a 12”x12” piece of the paper, then draped a larger sheet over it and tied fishing string around the neck area to define the head shape. We then took another couple sheets and taped them to the bottom of the draped sheet and cut about 20 slits in the bottom and the hair is black gift bag tissue cut in multiple slits in similar fashion that we did the body (dress part of the figure) finally we drew a scary face on the head with a sharpie and voila you have your gool! Ours was roughly 4’ tall and we tethered it to our drone with about 80’ of fishing line. As far as attaching it to the drone, we just tied a loop around the middle of the body of the drone (as tight as you can but it doesn’t have to be extremely tight, just try to eliminate space around the drone body so it doesn’t try to move around) in this area it will naturally keep the fishing string out of your props!

So the ghost is made of tissue paper . That way it is super light and easy to fly around without weighing the drone down. 😏
