Running seams to leave invisible foot prints that alerts the alien from a distance and then tells the alien where they lead. Running rarely works.

I've actually escaped from the alien or got away with running some of the time, but when I run it usually leads to my death lol

One problem you had: you were running too much, allowing the Alien to kill you quickly.

More hiding, less running, and you become less become less food

The more you hide the more the Alien AI will check hiding places it’s like a double edged sword. It knows you’re there just never knows where. There’s a 50/50 it will guess and check the correct hiding spot. You have to switch up hoe you hide. I learned that the hard way.

3:35, in a bad spot, looking at a bare inventory, hear the alien drop, crawl around more and more frantically, find hiding spot. It was like a tiny little horrible adventure in like 120 seconds.

As a mainly Nightmare mode player the constant running gives me anxiety. If I even think about running in nightmare the Xeno is coming out to get me, and I won’t have the luxury of items to help me as you never get crafting items 😅

Oki so i currently just played alien isolation and I still don’t get why people say it’s a scary game to be honest I had fun playing the game and enjoyed it a lot and yes ofc I did get scared but it was only in the nest below the reactor other than that it was just fun I’d say it’s a game every gamer or fans of Alien should play 10/10
