Fortunately Marlon Wayans recently announced their return to the franchise with a new installment.

Tbh the absence of Shorty and Ray may have improved the movie. When i was young i felt that 2 was the best but tbh rewatching them i feel their humor was almost a little too much. And the lack of the more graphic stuff helps this movie hold up better. Plus there isnt as much gay stuff or weed

"Cindy, the TVs leaking" the way she delivers the line gets me EVERY TIME. Might be my favorite line in the entire franchise and trust me, I loved Scary Movie 2 and quote it often to this day but Scary Movie 3 while for me not as funny as the 1st two, still has some of the best gags and jokes in all 4 of the original movies. The fact the Wayan's (at least Marlon and his brother, I don't know about Keenon Ivory) got back the franchise and are making the next movie is such good news. And they are trying to get as many of the original stars back again as they can. I hope they get them all, and also bring back some of the Scary Movie 3 and 4 crew as well.

In “The Ring” there is a jump scare where Naomi Watts is looking up a lighthouse and the fog horn of the next scene goes off. The scene were Anna Faris jumps at the fog horn in the next scene is the funniest thing ever if anyone gets it.

Back then, I thought Scary Movie 3 was going to flop because many audiences didn't like Scary Movie 2, the Wayans were not involved and it was tone down from R to PG-13. I was wrong! It had the biggest opening in the franchise and is the second highest Scary Movie behind the original. 1 and 3 are the only movies in the series to make $100 million in both domestic and overseas.

This movie had SOME Wayans style comedy because the studio used their concept for 3, but to quote Marlon Wayans when he was on Club Shay Shay “You can’t do Kayan’s shit without the Wayans.” The reason that this is the last Scary Movie to be genuinely funny throughout most of the movie is because the story and concept was created by the Wayans bros but they themselves dropped out because the Weinstein bros screwed them over and tried to pay them as much as they made on this FIRST movie even the the second was twice as successful.
