WOW ! What a rainy adventure you had ! Happy you navigated it all well. I am here now renting a little camper trailer that sits stationery beside a house where my landlords live. Been having water leak issues with the fridge in here several days. So my anxiety popped up seeing your situation & feeling your a angst too 😮!! Thankful you have heat in your van & I have heat too. It seems like a lot of van lifers like to park right next to rivers. I think it's nice too, hearing the sound of water flowing. I went through a flood years ago, so when I see people parked by rivers when it's raining, I get worried. Water can get high very fast, and there's incredible power that can sweep things downstream in no time. Please keep that in mind, I would hate for that to happen to you, Emi and dear Kelly!❤❤

We lost our van this way in 2023. Crushed by 3 very large cottonwoods, Comox Valley, while we were sleeping. Haven't been able to come back from that. I miss vanlife so much.

Please come south! Quartzsite is wonderful! Arizona has SO much free camping on BLM land (Bureau of Land Management). I spent one winter 2020/21 in my van in BC. The rain is so depressing. You could maybe take a survey of your viewers to see if they would like to follow your journey south for a few months.

I really love and appreciate your cautious common sense approach to life I also tend to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. My boiler stopped working recently. Not a disaster as I have two other ways to heat my home. This attitude prevents stuff from developing into an emergency
