The "not a redback" spider looks like a cupboard spider (Steatoda grossa). It looks like there might also be a male one in there too. They like to live under plant pots and in dark corners. It might get on well with the redbacks as it's probably gonna hide under Thomas and stay out of their way. It's not poisonous to us, but definitely would be to the redbacks. Redbacks hunting techniques aren't unique and most true web builders hunt the same way - squirting web then going in for the bite. I have a tiny spider on a plant in my kitchen I've been feeding slaters and it kills the same way. The daddy long legs isn't so much a hunter of redbacks which is an urban legend... rather they walk so awkwardly that they don't set off redbacks hunting response. The redbacks just don't think of it as food so don't actively hunt it. It will probably eventually cross one of their paths in the tank the wrong way and end up dead, bu they are awkward to bite because their gangly legs put them out of the range of a lot of squirted web. In the wild like any one of a dozen species... would probably kill any redback that wandered into it's cobweb. Spiders are all lethal on their own web.

Red backs and black widows are essentially the same spider in terms of behaviors qualities features you name it, where the differences come is extremely similar to people, a human is a human right, however there are minor dna differences that cause certain visual features to be different giving a "type of look" to certain people and are very geographically based. This is the same thing going on with the Black Widows or Red Backs. In regards to your "Red Back" that has the shiny body without the mark is simply a variation, it is quite normal for the spiders in their genus "Latrodectus" to have less than common markings of various shapes and sizes. Most of these unusual set of marks start to appear the older the spider gets, and to even lose their markings.

Maybe the daddy long legs has such a wide step, the red back think it is a much larger spider than it is. I can see the long legs eating spiderlings though. The long legs is going to need some very fast acting venom to take down an adult red back.

Two suggestions when you clean the tank: put a bright flashlight or other point source against the outside of the glass low down on one side to attract the spiderlings, and put Vaseline on the tweezers to keep anything from crawling up towards you.
