Loving this. In 1968 as a college student I went with a few other guys to visit a middle school in Oakland, California. At one point they took a break. Their teacher put on a record and played this song. The kids lined up and danced. It was so fun to watch.

i agree. marvin gaye's version is great... so is CCR. But if you're gonna pick a successful pop chart hit, go with the original as a rule of thumb. It's not like this rendition is incredibly similar to the one by Marvin Gaye. If anything, it's more Gladys energy
