yes, but using that method will raise your anxiety higher. there is another way. if the train noises stop for more than 5-8 seconds she is coming. the caller arrives on the train that comes exactly behind the one you turn around for. edit:don't come after me if I'm wrong please

In every mode, when the screamer is about to come. He first comes at the window before attacking. In easy and hard mode however, you don't need to check the window since there are distant bangs that indicate he's coming. But, in Nightmare mode, distant bangs are disabled, so the only way to know he's coming is by checking if he comes at the window. Another way, since in Nightmare mode train comes constantly, you can predict his arrival by hearing trains. If no train comes for some seconds then he's probably coming very soon.
