This scene was one of the hardest scenes to watch for me. Reading it was hard, but seeing in all visualised and realised was even harder. Felix’s acting is the cream on top of a masterpiece.

Why is "All Quiet on the Western Front" being brought up a lot these days? Is this a remake? Why do we need a remake? This movie is from 1930! Can we do something other than Marvel and remakes please? So now that I know the soldier who's dying has chocolate all over his face, I can't take this seriously.

Nothing wrong with adapting a piece of german literature with german actors and such. It's interesting to see a modern rendition with more accurate realistic set and them speaking german like they should in the book.

The director has said that he doesn't see it as a remake of the 1930 film but his own adaptation of the original 1929 novel
