(8:49) Sorry Jeff, but you didn't show the Falloff map inside CoronaMix map (Mix Amount).😥 Can you tell please what is the parameters of this Falloff map?
@JeffPatton Жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. I used those in the ground shadow catcher to give more control on how reflective & glossy the shadow catcher is. The falloff map assigned to reflection color is helping to limit the reflectivity. The falloff in the Fresnel IOR map = reflection intensity controls. The mix-w falloff in the glossiness map will dull the sharp reflections over distance. Those will all be scene dependent (camera angle & distance from geometry, look desired, etc.) Here's a link to a version of the file (teapot geo stand-in for the vehicles though) for reference as well: jeffpatton.net/share/Corona_BlkStudio_v01_post.zip

Beautiful work as always Jeff. 🖤 Question: what is the name of the LUT you used?
@JeffPatton3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Sir! The LUT was Gladiator from the Triune Digital Action Film LUT pack. www.triunedigital.com/collections/color-grading/products/action-film-luts

You should do one by using the OPEN OSL HDRI MAP which allows you to add image lights within the environment map

Hi Jeff, a question about the aligned Max windows in the beginning - is there a way to automatically snap the window's position? My Max always looks cluttered...
@JeffPatton3 жыл бұрын
The 4 main viewport/windows in 3ds Max? I probably used the zoom extents all button (located in the bottom right area of 3ds max) right before making the recording.
@robrobs3d3 жыл бұрын
@@JeffPatton I meant that the Material Editor and the Render Settings are perfectly aligned to the main window. I found no snapping for all these floating windows and I thought you might use an external program to align them. Thanks again!
@JeffPatton3 жыл бұрын
@@robrobs3d Ah, no, I'm not aware of a snapping tool for the placement of those. I manually positioned the settings rollout & material editor for the video. They usually live on a separate monitor but I had to bring them over to the main one for recording. I didn't think about it at the time...but I should have saved that setup as a "recording" workspace preset. That would save me from having to do that next time.

@@JeffPatton Ok, it looked so perfect that I hoped you have a solution for a tidy max screen ;-)
