I hate how they abandoned this storyline after season 1. Blair's eating disorder was clearly a product of her perfectionism and troubled relationship with her mom - which made her character so much more interesting. They seemed to favor shallower, more soapy plots after season 1 in general. For example, they never developed Blair's complex relationship with her dad, Eric's suicide, and so on. Season 1 was the best because of all of these moments. I liked the seriousness and darkness of it.
