Hello, I watched a few of your videos about compositor effects and the depth buffer explanation, and really loved the way you teach. Will you ever do a tutorial on normal maps and how to access it to use it on compositor effects?

Hey Marco, I don't think we can use normal maps for compositor effects because at that stage we are not doing any light calculation, just manipulating the final screen render to enhance the overall look. But I will definitely make a game math theory episode on normal maps👍🏻😁

@@iDigvijaysinhGUhh ok sad hahaha. Just another question, how did you learn how to effectively setup the compositor effect to enable depth maps? To me the godot docs where a bit unclear and as a beginner it was very difficult to find the right tutorial

Well, there are not a lot of tutorials yet. As for how I knew the way to access depth, In the docs they are reading the screen texture from RenderSceneBuffersRD class, so I investigated the methods and properties of that class (ctrl+click) and found the method to access depth.
