Lizard was such a simple but terrifying villain. You really felt like the second Spider-Man got caught by him, it could be over. He also has such a ferocity to his attacks, really become animalistic instead of just being a guy with a tail who stands and punches. Excited to see him return in No Way Home and see what they do with him

Andrew’s Spider-Man is an opportunist who relies on webs and surprising the enemy. in my opinion the reason why a lot of fans weren't originally thrilled with this version of Spider-Man because for many he was filling the shoes of Tobey. Thus, the expectations were much higher. But now after seeing Holland's version, Garfield does a way better job without the need of the Avenger's help. Peter doesn't need Iron Man or a suit to lecture him about his powers. Spider-Man is automatically a bad ass

Garfield always had the best "thwip" sound affect and web shooters (in the 1st one, I hated the new shooter design in TASM2) and practical costume, I liked that it's the only costume that never looks too "touched up" by CGI, I also love that u can see the seems where the mask ends and suit begins ect... all the things I love were changed for the worse I'm TASM2.. the ribbing on his suit was toned wayyyy down, web shooters looked like a toy, and the kool eyes were made bigger (I kno they changed it because of how "sinister" or "angry scowl" the mask looked in certain angles) but that's actually why I loved the eyes in the 1st TASM. the eyes gave a menacing look that imo made him way more intimidating to the bad guys, but since Sony was trying to sell toys they didn't want the mask to "scare kids" so they changed it into that goofy anime "bugeyed" look in 2... it was a complete costume downgrade rather than upgrade.. no ribbing, toy shooters, the suit had a wierd shiny material in place of the awesome ribbed rubber suit, and the eyes were way too big!

These 2 movies will still always be hands down my favorite live action Spider-Man movies. Garfield was the perfect Spider-Man. He played a great Peter Parker if Peter was supposed to be a suave pretty boy, not so much the comic accurate Peter so I get the complaints there but still love it. The lighting, tone, cinematography, choreo for the fight scenes, the suits, the movement, all top tier in my opinion. I even love the 2nd movie despite the gripes I understand from people

Between Holland and Macguire, I liked Garfield the most out of all the Spider-Man actors. The first had no quips, and Holland is just a kid, but Garfield's had a sense of humor, just enough seriousness that you knew that he meant business, and just enough immaturity to show that this Spider-Man was still on a learning curb.

The sigh the Peter takes when Stacy takes his last breath really seals the deal as Andrew being the best spider man. You can tel that’s the first time watching someone die in front of him. (Ben was already dead when he got to him) he WATCHES Stacy take his last breath which really affects Peter and makes him realize how serious being spider man is. You CANT save everyone, and like he said “you’re gonna make enemies people are gonna get hurt” and this is immediately nailed in by watching him take his last breath. Which Peter (remember is a sophomore in high school, a kid.) was probably not ready to see. But he needed to see it to solidify his character growth. And Andrew acting is just mwah 🤌 perfection. People saying he did a bad job are LYING and you won’t convince me he’s a bad spider man. He’s the best idc end of story

I loved these two films. And I love that they actually followed through and showed that your choices and actions have consequences, and you have to bare that. Gwen was killed because Peter didn’t listen to the captains dying wish. Nowadays it would be that she nearly got killed but got saved at the last minute and it’s all happily ever after… fuck that. That doesn’t happen in real life, not often anyway. These movies felt grounded in reality when you overlook the supernatural elements of them. They did an excellent job in portraying Peter as a character and taught kids around the world the harsh but necessary lessons that things don’t always go your way, and if you make the wrong choice, you pay the price. Not to mention the CGI in these films looks amazing, especially so given when they were made. And I personally really like the quips and jokes Peter makes throughout when fighting. It’s like an everyday job for him being a hero, and come on, who doesn’t have banter with their ‘work colleagues’ if you will? These two films were great superhero films, definitely up there with The Dark Knight

With Connors returning here from No Way Home, let's hope that he still managed to grab Peter before he fell off the building. Since Connors was fully cured by the point he returned home, that means he didn't have his right lizard arm to grab Peter here in the new reality. Let's hope that he managed to save Peter with his left human arm like how he did when his right arm started breaking apart. If Connors didn't manage to grab Peter in time then let's hope that Peter managed to stick to the wall with his spider powers. The only other difference I can think of with this new branch reality with Connors returning here from the events of No Way Home is that he would probably not say "The captain" at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="364">6:04</a>. With Connors adjusting back to his reality, he probably would have not remembered quickly enough what he did to Captain Stacy. Unless he did remember quickly. Just some thoughts I was thinking of.

Gosh Andrews Spider-Man definitely has the most tragic life. Two people close to him die in a single movie. Then the love of his life dies in the second movie and he was so close to saving her. And his best and only friend betrayed him. Everyone saying toms life is more tragic because of no way home which is just not true at all. It’s wayyyy better to have your girlfriend forget you than her die. And also wayyy better to have your friend forget you than him turn against you and become an evil villain.
