Guys i’ve actually had a chance to watch the entire thing and RIGHT after this scene, when he’s about to start torturing her, she transforms into her witch/guardian form with the heart of candrakar and burns the entire room, melting absolutely everything, including that guy and all the tools in just a matter of seconds. Then she catches up with the other girls which already has destroyed everything and everyone else. Irma floods the entire town, and then Hai Lin cools down everything so ut freezes with the cold wind. Will electrocutes everyone who deserved it with quintesense, and cornelia ends it all by making the entire town fall into a gaping hole in the ground:) yay

At the end of the medieval period in England there was a massive sale. By the middle of the 17th Century England had stopped using these as forms of torture. My guess is they were brought to the new world by migrants, or left their by the first settlers.
