It's funny because Reggie looks nothing like Susan in the book. I'm glad I watched the movie before reading the book because I would have been disappointed in the difference of looks. That is the disadvantage of reading the books before watching the movies. Sometimes you wind up disappointing yourself. The book and the movie are both phenomenal, but I can honestly say that Susan killed it in this role and that there is no other actress who could have done it finer than her. Absolutely amazing actress.

One of my all-time favorite movies! Susan Sarandon deserved the Oscar! Great performances by Brad Renfro, Tommie Lee Jones, Anthony Edwards and Micole Mecurio and Mary Louise Parker. Rest in Peace, Brad - you were wonderful in this. This last scene breaks my heart. John Grisham wrote a, unforgettable book.

This movie is definitely in my Top 10 favourites of all time. I just finished reading the book, which was also phenomenal. John Grisham is an amazing author. After reading the book it really makes me want to see a prequel of Senator Boyd Boyette. The man was so corrupt and I am thinking that seeing his backstory and all of the events that led up to his death would be amazing to see. This story also makes me itching to know where the Sways ended up going after Ricky was better. At the same time, I also would not want there to be a sequel because the Sways deserve to live happily ever after and not be tracked down by the mafia.

I remember watching this when I was 12 years old and thought Brad Renfro was absolutely adorable. It was always playing on HBO. His acting was great! The goodbye scene though definitely brought some tears to my eyes though. I loved Susan Sarandon in this. "You want to take care of my compass for me? That way you'll never lose your way again." But the ending made me laugh, "I'll call ya." :)
