Feyd. He was actually a threat to Paul, though this is most likely a result of the spanish swordsman problem (i.e not because of his skill but because he's overconfident/has no self-preservation instinct whereas Paul spent years training with the fremen in the interim). Also, why did he get a yataghan? Those swords are greco-turkish, I.E the kind of thing an atreides would use.

Paul vs Jamis believe it or not. It framed wider and I can see what Paul is doing. The fight with Feyd was above the elbow and I still don't know how Paul stab Feyd at the end. Paul also does a spin in the air move which is so stupid.

In fact the fight scenes in part 2 were pretty lackluster, and it's almost impossible to tell if that's because of poor choreography or bad editing choices, because you can't properly see the damn fights. So that being said, I'm blaming the editing/camerawork until proven otherwise.

I will mention Paul has never killed a man, so double-tapping his opponent may not have occurred to him.

He also did not want to kill a man. The parting shot might've been an active choice so he wouldn't have to see Jamis die in a more gruesome way. With that attack, Jamis dies behind him instead.

I remember that in the book Paul is so used to attacking a shield with a slow attack that few times he could have killed Jamis that is starts to look like he is toying with Jamis to some spectators and I think Stilgar even asks Jessica about.

Yeah, Stilgar does question Jessica about it, during the duel. . . . . .And almost immediately after the fight then admonishes Paul to "not play with his food"!!

He asks Jessica about it in the movie too. She says Paul has never killed before

In the book he asks Jessica about Paul not killing Jamis, but just as he asks her he also tell her to not answer. Jessica was forbidden to speak in the duel because the fremen were (rightfully so) afraid that she could alter the result of the fight with her abilities. The book already stated that she kinda influenced Jamis to be afraid or something like that, and if she made any more moves Stilgar said they would kill her and Paul.

Yeah, all the comments above are accurate and I read that part last week. I may add that the slow attacks from being used to a shield makes it look like Paul is holding back. But in addition, Paul was on such a higher level, being trained by the most elite fighters, that to him this felt like a relaxed sparring session. Plus, Shani tipped Paul off that Janis tends to switch his knife hand to confuse his opponents and had she not told him, Paul would probably hava fallen victim to the trick.

The screenplay for the film mentions this as well. Paul's attacks are precise, calculated, and slow - as if trying to get through a shield.

The parting shot is probably a particularly good maneuver in the dune universe with shields based on speed. Because if you're moving apart, your blades relative speed is inherently going to be slower so you can thrust as hard as you want

Another reason Paul didn't do a follow-up strike could be that he really didn't wanna kill him. If you remember, Paul actually wins the fight very quickly by putting the knife to his throat and shouting, "Do you yield!?" But unfortunately, their traditions do not allow surrender so after multiple wins by his standard hes forced into a killing blow

Both are the same type of grip. The Icepick grip is just a different way to refer to a reverse grip.
