Philip Seymour Hoffman could play any part so well. RIP And James Rebhorn was such a great character actor , who specialized in playing arrogant pricks so realistically.

Yes, James Rebhorn also played one of the nastiest Stepfathers on Guiding Light. I said this before but he's also a Good Luck Charm to so many Actors he worked with who would win Oscars. Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Al Pacino, Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, and Joe Pesci.

Even Frank Slade warned Charlie that those guys wouldn't help him. He was nothing but a Charity Case in their eyes, and "Big George" got "Little George" to sing like a canary and he pretty much did.

I also feel that he had more control over Charlie telling what he knew because while the other three came from bank and were untouchable in many ways, Charlie was Scholarship, he didn't have the same juice that they had. Who knows, maybe The Fathers of the three may have written some checks to the school.

Oh Absolutely. Did you know Ted Kennedy hired someone to take his Spanish exasm for him. He got caught but he was allowed back.
@laminage17 күн бұрын
@@Au60schildOh Yes! Did you know that Ted Kennedy actually got a classmate to take his Spanish exam for him and got caught. In the 1983 Book The Class, Ted Lambros (Class Of 1958) who was a professor of Greek Literature flunked a classmate Chris Jastrow who was the top athlete. He was told by Coach Chet Bigelow to pass chris so he could play the harvard game. he explained that if harvard wins, the alumni will be drunk, and happy and cut some very large checks to the school, and coach bigelow's job is intact.

Another Scene was right before Mr. Trask said his Speech, George Jr., looks at Charlie as if to say "I'm Sorry Chazz, I had to tell, my father dragged it out of me." My Aunt would be the "exact" same way with my cousin.

Alot of private schools have an "Honor Code" where students are expected to inform on classmates that break the rules, or else the witnessing student is punished. It sounds ridiculous, but I went to a school that had such a code. I never saw it enforced, but it always made me think of this scene.
@laminage2 ай бұрын
@@PatricksCrazyPlaceDon't forget the one in School Ties. They knew that David was innocent and Dillon was guilty but because it was the 1950's and David was a Jew, they wanted to send him down the river. They also hated to admit that a Scholarship Boy had more pizazz than they ever could have. Also don't forget Chris O'Donnell played Christopher "Chris" Reece.
