Henry misplayed game one by fighting over the delver so aggressively. I don’t think he knew what he has playing against right off the bat.

I disagree. He was stuck on one land and, with a hand chock full of counter-magic and a clock, he needed to ride Delver out for the win. He could see Cedric advancing his resources, regardless of what he was playing.

Hollywood MK This was 2 years ago. After rewatching it, I still think he should have let the delver go but I think regardless of what happens this is not going to go well. If he lets delver only has an elemental blast to stop counter magic

It's a check card to use in place of a flip card. Less chance of knowing if the card coming up in your deck is double sided or not.
