Brandon. Thank you for this and all the videos. You've been a god-send in my late-start carreer. If you need a dad-what I'M good at-I'm here. LOL. I just made a cigar pochade box that I fit everything into and a killer fold-out chair. Still a pretty tight kit.

sounds weird, but I buy/use tube socks instead of the rag and strap. I cut off the end and wear the sock on my forearm.

I really enjoyed your video. I feel like so many people get caught up in needing a ton of crap to go out and paint. You have simplified it to the most needed and the most simple to use. That is what you want to paint. Not a bunch of crap to get distracted by. Thank you.

The towel on your arm is a good idea. I use a sweat band from the 80s. Those ones that goes around your wrists and forehead. I used the wrist ones and wipe my brush on it. Works great. Washable too.

Thank you, Brandon for such helpful set-up info. Where can I get a clip on double water well like yours?
@brianpan64536 жыл бұрын
The masking tape URL leads to a $8.69 roll of "artist" tape. Michael's sells decorative tape (decorated w/little quirky colored designs on tape less adhesive than masking tape) that sells at $1 for two rolls. That's supposedly a "sale" price but my Michael's always seems to have it in stock at that price. I've been using it for some time now. It never tears, falls off the paper (even when wet w/water or paint) and best of all - it has never ripped away even a tiny sliver of paper when removed (which regular masking tape did incessantly no matter which tips or tricks I used). In Paris, I asked a gendarme, "How do you get to the Louvre?" He replied, "Keep painting!"

@SchaeferArt3 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea, if you use a cotton wristband, etc. I don't know how long they would last compared to a washcloth. Also cost is probably an issue as well. Just things to consider.

When you squeeze the tube paint into the palette does it need to lay flat in the bag or does it not run everywhere? Or does it have to dry before you transport it?
