I just formed Sunni Kazakh culture Russia by starting as Uzbek, releasing Kazakh, conquering Muscovy, converting to Muscovy culture, changing to Republic, then forming Russia, & then converting back to Kazakh culture again. Didnt know which national ideas are better. Kazakh or Russian? What do you think? Also, I lost the Russian government type. Not sure if I should have changed to Monarchy first? Have you done this playthru?

@tigrecito48 Depends on your playstyle, if you want to expand via conquering, you should stick to hord ideas. If you want to play more diplomatically than go with Moscovite ideas. As you converted to Kazakh you most likely increased you goverment rank from duchy to kingdom. So you have lost the goverment reform wich id only avaiable for duchies.

but i thought russia gets a new government type when its formed? an even better one than the russian principality one? thats why i was thinking maybe i should have gone monarchy.. or maybe you need to be orthodox to have it apply?

Than orthodoxy is most likely the requirement. Or you get it via decision or mission
