IMO Schaffs popularity makes his opinions feel a little forced and manipulative. Some of his opinions can get on my nerve. I am tempted to argue with some of Schaffs opinions, however I would probably title the video Defending this From Schaff just to be a little nicer.

Not sure if this was satire, but if it wasn't, it misinterpreted pretty much every single argument Schaff made. Il Nam being the twist villain isn't bad because it wasn't foreshadowed, but because it invalidates the emotional weight that came with the character as a player, and him being secretly unkillable undermines the whole idea of fairness that the game shoves in every player's face. Sure, the death is still powerful to Gi Hun, but the audience's emotional investment simply is lowered now that they know the old man knew he was never going to die at any point in the game. The guy on the street getting rescued is hardly a statement that people are inherently good because the police are just doing their job. It also doesn't help that you constantly throw meaningless emotional insults. It doesn't prove anything. It just makes you and your friend look more like children.

His alternate version of the freezing guy scene wouldn’t make sense. The point was to prove good in humanity, and if Gi Hun went out to save them, all that would prove is that Gi Hun is the only good person. Also, watching the freezing guy from the top of a building is supposed to resemble the VIPs watching the game.

at 8:50 you mention he could've called off the games at any time, but he didn't because he didn't care for anyone other than Gi-hun but he did. In the majority vote, when he was in character as a player in the game, it would make sense for him to keep going if he's a debt ridden old man with a brain tumor. Instead, he lets them leave because he knew the majority wanted to, and respected what they wanted.

I hope not. I liked Schaf's other videos (Ratatouille, Megamind, not SharkTale tho, I appreciated that one, respected his Frozen 2 take even tho I have a stronger feeling against the movie), but I refused to watch that Squid Game one until I reached the ending myself. Already knew Schaf's title was going to disappoint me, but I really liked the ending even though it didn't give the audience what they wanted. I'm afraid to say I'm considering unsubscribing from him when I actually watch his actual video if it turns out to be as grifty as my first impression

While I do think you were a bit agressive towards Schaff, you are completely right about your points against his review, he absolutely missed the point and downright ignored some obvious aspects of the ending, which makes his video unfair and misguiding, just like his old Better Call Saul video. Having different opinions is fine, but why do you have to attack other creators! You matter and your opinion definitely has value: just say that you disagree without all this drama. Calling people "fucking stupid" and "morons", for an opinion on a TV series is pointless and rude.
