I moved to austin from Cali, been here little over a week and i fucking hate it. The drivers on the road are pretty much all maniacs. Semi trucks will speed right past you.. dumbasses in trucks hauling a 15ft trailer will zoom right past you at 85mph and cut you off. Makes perfect sense why insurance cost so much. The bbq is $30 a pound. Gas is cheaper, but you drive a mission to get from point A to B so you end up spending the same amount as cali.

I don’t live in Dallas but I live in San Antonio and we suffer from a similar fate. I like that San Antonio tries to go for a town feel *sometimes* but the cons here outweigh the pros as it’s mostly nothing but highway and parking lots. The city is also very… brown (as in the sun fries the grass here just not enough to be a desert even though it feels like one sometimes) And it’s inaccessible for people who can’t drive. It’s VERY ugly

Right on. I'm not a gamer, am a native Texan born in H town. I've lived in the northeast. When I came back and left H town for Dallas it used to be okay and when I tell people what you said by myself they minimalize it or avoid me but when I play your video out loud and laugh along with it they actually listen and laugh a little bit. But bottom line is ugly architecture with mud coloring is virtuous here, bare bones anything doesn't phase them, arts and symphony are the minority, C- grade college education is okay to them, and any "intellectual" conversation has to happen on the grounds of a university or else silence will descend 😂. My extended family never thinks of meeting up with me anymore for some of these reasons, and I think your video does a lot of good because It takes quite a lot of visits to any target area before moving house in order to understand what and whom you will be putting up with later. 0 to Pennsylvania and 0 to Texas in my book unless it's a vacation with a special event happening. I love the 4 seasons of weather American holidays are built upon and want to see them again.

I am a Dallas native. I now live in Seattle, Wa. It’s beautiful and amazing here. You should move here. Lots of high paying jobs. It’s like the exact opposite of dallas. People here are smart. There is so much nature right at your finger tips. We have two national parks that are less than two hours from the city and you can take a ferry or bus. The public transportation is amazing. You do not need a car. The bad stuff you see on the news is greatly exaggerated. It’s actually safer than Dallas.

I knew about how Texas didn’t have an income tax, but when I heard about the high sales taxes, I just had to groan and say “of course they do that.” Sales tax, the most regressive kind of tax which screws over poor people the most, is what they rely on. Texas gonna Texas. I’ve also heard the property taxes are outrageous too. It’s almost like you shouldn’t just look at your immediate paycheck when deciding if maybe you’re being dicked over by the state government.
@yourselfiegotleaked3 ай бұрын
Hadn’t even considered it from that angle, that the sales tax screws over poor people the most. Course Texas would do that.
