Thank you for this nice and interesting video! One correction though - the torpedo hit on Scharnhorst during the battle with Glorious was achieved by the sinking Acasta, and not by a Swordfish. There were no planes airborne during the encounter, as Scharnhorst scored an early hit on Glorious' flight deck, which was also the longest range hit by a battleship on a moving target (actually on par with Warspite, which hit the Italian Giulio Cesare at a similar distance just one month later)

Can you do a video more on the interior of the ship? Like where everything is located and what everything is?

Thanks for the Video. In Braunschweig the ei after the w is pronounced as "I" in German. The river Weser from wich the name Weserübung is devised is pronounced with first "e" like the first "e" in vessel. Hope it helps.

One thing you missed in the sinking of Glorious: Scharnhorst made the longest ranged artillery hit on a moving target in all of human history at roughly 26,000 yards. Warspite holds the record for longest ranged hit on a battleship at about 24,000 yards.

Interesting Video. Wasnt aware that they actually managed to pull of a somewhat successfull raiding operation at the start of the war.

i mean, i was surprised too, Especially with the amount of tonnage they were able to sink. Shame they were not great sea boats

@@TheShipYard2 Well if you complete an effective 10.000 t over "stated" tonnage, some of that will be trying to mislead the "enemy", but another part will be design inexperience/mistakes. Just like with the Japanese heavy cruisers which were not 10.000 as designed. But the japanese made mistakes and literally went over board with the weight, which wasnt intended and made them too heavy. Having a negative impact on their performance and submerging some of the belt (if I recall correctly). For the Germans, yet another long term Versail treaty impact, in part at least.

i meant in operation berlin, how they sank about 116k tons of shipping

@@TheShipYard2 and I meant that they likely would have been better sea boats if they had been a bit higher in the watern and in generall if their designes had mor experience from continuing bb production after ww1

Except the Deutschland class were smaller, slower, and less well armed than the British battle cruisers.
